Role Description
ID Tech Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician for a full-time, field-based position serving clients throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area and surrounding region.
The role focuses primarily on servicing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting low-voltage communications and physical security systems, along with smaller installation projects.
We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and resourceful technician who can work independently, think critically, and take a practical, solution-oriented approach to resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair low-voltage systems, including CCTV, access control, burglar alarms, phone systems, and audio/video systems.
- Perform low-voltage cabling work, small installations, and system upgrades as needed
- Diagnose technical issues and determine practical and efficient solutions.
- Proactively assess what needs to be done and take appropriate action to restore system functionality and resolve client concerns.
- Test systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality and verify that issues have been resolved.
- Travel to client locations throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area and surrounding region
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members regarding technical and service issues, findings, solutions, and completed work
- Maintain accurate documentation of service and installation work
Work Schedule:
- Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM EST
- Friday: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM EST

Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the low-voltage industry, including installation, maintenance, or servicing of low-voltage systems.
- 3 years of hands-on troubleshooting experience across various low-voltage systems, including phone systems, audio/video systems, burglar alarms, and access control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify practical and efficient solutions.
- Resourceful and proactive approach to resolving technical issues, with the ability to think outside the box when needed.
- Ability to work independently in the field, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of assigned work.
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to completing work efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, understand their concerns, and communicate solutions clearly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to travel to client sites throughout the New York City Metropolitan Area and surrounding region
- Relevant low-voltage certifications, technical training, or a degree in a related field is a plus
