At ID-ware, it is the Platform Engineering team. They build and look after the cloud systems that colleagues and clients rely on every day.As Senior Platform Engineer, you will lead the design, build and upkeep of our infrastructure on AWS and Azure using Terraform. You will keep it secure, reliable and scalable, and you will own solution architecture. You will work closely with the Platform team.\nWhat you will do \nLead the design, build and maintenance of ID-ware and client infrastructure in the cloud, managed in Terraform\nKeep AWS and Azure infrastructure secure, reliable and scalable\nWork with the Platform team to find and fix infrastructure issues at the root cause\nOwn solution architecture and respond to requests from colleagues who may have limited technical knowledge\nSupport internal operations in Azure and Entra, and customer-facing applications that run mostly on AWS\nTake part in the on-call rotation for infrastructure that supports customer-facing applications\nSupport internal security audits and client assessments\nAct on client feedback passed on by project managers, and contribute to new projects as directed by the Platform team manager\nProvide guidance and best practices for using cloud services\nWhat success looks like \nAll AWS and Azure infrastructure ismanaged in Terraform, and is secure, stable and scalable\nIncidents are resolved quickly at the root cause, and on-call work is handled reliably\nSecurity audits and client assessments pass without major findings\nThe Platform team works to clear, consistent standards that you set and share\nProject managers and colleagues see you as a credible technical partner\nYour profile\nExperience and educationDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience\n5+ years of experience in a similar role\nFluent English\nTechnical skills\nExperience designing solution architecture for cloud platforms\nExpert proficiency in Terraform, including using and implementing it\nStrong understanding of AWS and Azure services, and comfort working in both\nExpert knowledge of Linux and Unix systems\nExpert knowledge of identity and access management systems\nExperience with cloud security best practices\nKnowledge of how to make a product operationally ready\nExpert knowledge in troubleshooting and diagnosing platform issues\nKnowledge of databases\nWays of working\nClear and effective communicator, including with colleagues at all levels of the organisation\nProactive and self-motivated, and comfortable pushing objectives forward\nCollaborative approach when working with the Platform team and project managers\nSecurity-conscious approach to design\nPatient and clear when explaining technical choices to colleagues with limited technical knowledge\nNice to have \nAWS certification, for example AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer\nExperience developing APIs using Node.js or Python\nExperience with GithubEnterprise and GithubActions\nWorking Knowledge of Jira Atlassian \nKnowledge of SQL Server\nDutch language skills\nWhat do we offer?\nYou will join a growing, international company that is shaping the future of PIAM solutions, where Platform Engineering plays a key role in keeping the cloud infrastructure behind our services secure, reliable and available.
