The EA is a strategic partner and advisor to the business and technology teams providing proactive and holistic help in achieving their targeted outcomes including optimizing costs, mitigating risks and improving sustainability. This includes influencing the introduction of new and/or emerging technologies and architectures as well as expansion of existing platforms in support of business challenges, and target outcomes.\nThe enterprise architect's responsibilities include improving the current technology system architecture, optimizing business operations, and setting the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. The enterprise architect is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities.\nTo be successful as an enterprise architect, one needs to be proven leader with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, should have demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically, should have excellent technical, and analytical. You should also have strong communication, and interpersonal skills.\nEnterprise Architect Responsibilities:\nDefine and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with banking business goals\nEnsure compliance with regulatory and risk frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, OCC, Basel, SOX, GDPR where applicable)\nLead architecture governance, including standards, policies, and design reviews across all technology domains\nPartner with business leaders, risk, compliance, and IT teams to support digital transformation and modernization of legacy banking systems\nDrive architecture for core banking platforms, payments systems, lending, and digital banking channels\nOversee data architecture strategy, including data governance, privacy, and lineage\nEvaluate and recommend technologies with a focus on security, resiliency, and operational risk reduction\nSupport cloud adoption strategies while ensuring adherence to regulatory and security requirements\nGuide integration strategies across on-prem and cloud systems (APIs, microservices, middleware)\nIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce technical debt, and enhance customer experience\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)\n10+ years of experience in IT, with significant experience in financial services or banking\nProven experience in enterprise architecture within a regulated environment\nStrong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred)\nDeep understanding of core banking systems, payments, and financial products\nExperience with risk management, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance\nStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in regulated environments\nExcellent stakeholder management skills, including working with executives, regulators, and auditors\nPreferred\nTOGAF certification or equivalent\nExperience with digital banking transformation initiatives\nFamiliarity with fintech integrations and open banking (APIs, PSD2 concepts)\nKnowledge of data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML in banking\nExperience with DevSecOps, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines\nUnderstanding of vendor risk management and third-party integrations\nCompensation\n The expected annual salary for this position is between $250,000 and $280,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience.
