Reporting to the CTO, the Technical Director is responsible for engineering leadership, system architecture, development process, and code quality across projects spanning XR/MR applications, real-time motion capture pipelines, embedded systems, and a multi-tenant cloud SaaS platform.\nThis is a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will lead people and set direction while remaining directly engaged in architecture, technical review, and delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nTeam Leadership\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of software developers\nManage performance, career development, and technical growth of direct reports\nParticipate in hiring, onboarding, and resource planning\nFoster engineering excellence with an emphasis on computer science fundamentals, design patterns, and language-agnostic problem solving\nArchitecture & Technical Direction\nSteward and suggest system architecture across projects; define technical standards and design patterns\nLead technical design reviews and architectural decision-making\nEnsure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and appropriately documented\nEvaluate build-vs-buy and technology selection decisions with clear trade-off analysis\nQuality & Delivery\nEstablish and enforce code review standards;
