We're looking for aSenior Platform Engineer to join our Sustenance Platform team and help build, scale, and operate the cloud infrastructure that powers our products. This is an opportunity to work on complex platform engineering challenges using modern technologies such as\nAWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, and Go, while playing a key role in shaping platform strategy, reliability, security, and automation. As a senior member of the team, you'll take ownership of significant infrastructure initiatives from design through delivery, influence architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and help drive best practices in AI-assisted software development.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure.\nLead the delivery of complex platform engineering initiatives from concept to production.\nBuild and enhance Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.\nContribute to platform architecture, technical design, and engineering standards.\nSupport production systems through incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.\nReview code, mentor engineers, and promote engineering excellence across the team.\nDrive automation and reduce operational toil through tooling and process improvements.\nParticipate in on-call rotations and improve service reliability and observability.\nLeverage AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly and effectively, validating outputs and ensuring high-quality delivery.\nSkills and Experience\nEssential Skills & Experience\nStrong experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.\nDeep expertise in AWS services, networking, IAM, compute, storage, and cloud architecture.\nStrong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.\nHands-on experience with container platforms such as ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.\nSolid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and deployment automation.\nKnowledge of security best practices including secrets management, least-privilege access, encryption, and vulnerability management.\nExperience designing highly available and resilient cloud-native solutions.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and incident management skills.\nExperience mentoring engineers and conducting technical reviews.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nNice to Have\nExperience with Azure and multi-cloud environments.\nKnowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimisation.\nExperience supporting compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar.\nExposure to Python or Go development.\nExperience implementing AI-assisted engineering practices and automation.\nAbout Ideagen\nIdeagen is the invisible force behind many things we rely on every day - from keeping airplanes soaring in the sky, to ensuring the food on our tables is safe, to helping doctors and nurses care for the sick.
