This position is eligible for remote work.\nSummary\nIDEMIA National Security Solutions is seeking a Software Systems Integration Engineer with a well-rounded engineering background in Linux systems, platform operations, infrastructure automation, DevOps, and systems integration. This role supports the deployment, automation, modernization, monitoring, and sustainment of mission-critical biometric and identity management systems. The successful candidate will support customer environments requiring infrastructure automation, automated software deployments, and CI/CD pipeline operations across development, test, and production environments.\nLocation:\nAlexandria, VA or Morgantown, WV preferred.\nRemote will be considered.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nPerform operations and maintenance (O&M) activities including troubleshooting, defect resolution, software updates, system monitoring, performance tracking, and operational support.\nIntegrate software with biometric systems, identity management systems, enterprise applications, databases, hardware, and third-party products.\nArchitect software and systems integration solutions across applications, databases, cloud services, hardware, and external systems.\nSupport application deployment and lifecycle management using RPM-based deployment methodologies while contributing to the organization's transition toward containerized and cloud-native deployment architectures.\nDesign, develop, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, and scripting to support application installation, configuration management, patching, upgrades, deployment, and operational workflows.\nAdminister and support Linux-based production, development, and test environments.\nImplement and maintain infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards.\nDevelop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and release processes across development, test, and production environments to improve deployment reliability, consistency, and operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with software engineering, systems engineering, and operations teams to improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency.\nSupport platform reliability, capacity planning, system health monitoring, and incident response activities.\nMaintain software baselines, source code repositories, release artifacts, and configuration records in accordance with established configuration management processes.\nSupport modernization initiatives including legacy platform transformation, containerization, Kubernetes adoption, and cloud-native deployment architectures through proof-of-concept, migration, and integration activities.\nDocument software architectures, system designs, interfaces, deployments, and implementation approaches.\nDevelop operational documentation, deployment standards, and automation runbooks supporting both current-state and future-state platform architectures.\nExperience working in small teams.\nAbility to work multiple projects and problems in parallel.\nAbility and willingness to travel for some assignments.\nOccasional O&M support outside business
