Learn more here.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine, maintain, and communicate product vision, positioning, strategy, business priorities, and multi-year roadmaps for assigned Smart Credentials products.\nOwn product lifecycle activities from discovery and business case through requirements, development, qualification, launch, sustainment, migration, end-of-sale, and end-of-life.\nGather and synthesize customer, partner, sales, market, competitive, regulatory, and technical input. Translate that input into clear product requirements, use cases, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs.\nPrioritize features and investments based on customer value, market opportunity, business impact, security and compliance requirements, technical feasibility, cost, schedule, risk, and available resources.\nCoordinate cross-functional execution with engineering, applet and software teams, technical consultants, manufacturing, personalization, supply chain, quality, certification laboratories, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and third-party suppliers.\nManage assigned Smart Credentials initiatives such as PIV and CIV smart cards, FIDO2 authenticators and USB security keys, dual-interface and hybrid credentials, PACS technologies including Prox and DESFire EV3, middleware, minidrivers, credential-management tools, readers, and future cryptographic platforms.\nDrive new-product introduction and product readiness, including product definitions, part numbers and configurations, qualification plans, pricing inputs, product collateral, sales enablement, sample strategy, launch criteria, support readiness, and transition plans.\nDevelop product costing and pricing recommendations in partnership with finance, sourcing, manufacturing, and commercial teams. Support business cases, forecasts, investment requests, and make-versus-buy evaluations.\nLead product reviews and provide clear status on roadmap progress, decisions, dependencies, risks, issues, budget, customer commitments, and corrective actions.\nSupport customer discovery, technical and commercial presentations, demonstrations, proposals, RFIs/RFPs, product questionnaires, and strategic account engagements.\nManage vendor and partner contributions by defining scope, deliverables, interfaces, acceptance criteria, schedules, and escalation paths.\nEnsure product requirements and launch decisions address applicable identity, cybersecurity, interoperability, quality, privacy, export, and regulatory obligations.\nMonitor product performance and customer feedback after launch. Drive corrective actions, enhancements, documentation improvements, and portfolio simplification.\nCreate and maintain reliable product documentation, including roadmaps, requirements, decision records, product playbooks, launch packages, customer-facing descriptions, lifecycle notices, and internal training material.\nProduct and Domain Scope\nSmart cards and hardware authenticators supporting physical and logical access and use within enterprise.\nPKI, FIDO2/passkeys, multifactor authentication, encryption, digital signature, and passwordless authentication.\nContact, contactless, dual-interface, and hybrid credentials integrating technologies such as Prox, DESFire EV3, LEAF, and related PACS capabilities.\nSmart-card operating systems, Java Card applets, GlobalPlatform, personalization and pre-personalization profiles, key management, middleware, minidrivers, readers, APIs, SDKs, and management tools.\nCurrent and emerging cryptography, including crypto-agility and post-quantum cryptography planning.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in product management, business, engineering, computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.\nMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience in product management, product ownership, solution management, or a closely related role for secure technology, identity, credentialing, cybersecurity, payment, access-control, or hardware/software products.\nDemonstrated experience defining product strategy and roadmaps and taking products or significant features from concept through launch and lifecycle management.\nAbility to convert customer and market needs into structured requirements, priorities, trade-off decisions, and measurable product outcomes.\nExperience coordinating cross-functional teams without relying on direct reporting authority.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical subjects to business, customer, and executive audiences.\nWorking knowledge of product-development practices, backlog management, release planning, and product documentation.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, make decisions with incomplete information, identify risks early, and drive issues to closure.\nAbility to work with confidential customer, product, pricing, security, and technical information.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with identity and access management, smart cards, hardware authenticators, PKI, FIDO, PIV/CIV, PACS, credential management, or secure-element products.\nFamiliarity with relevant standards and programs such as FIPS 201, NIST SP 800-73, FIPS 140-3, ISO/IEC 7816, ISO/IEC 14443, GlobalPlatform, FIDO CTAP/WebAuthn, and cryptographic key-management practices.\nExperience with government and regulated commercial customers, product certifications, qualification laboratories, manufacturing, personalization, or supply-chain partners.\nNote to third-party recruiters: IDEMIA Public Security does not work with third-party recruiters absent a signed agreement and will treat any resumes submitted without a signed agreement as the property of IDEMIA Public Security.
