You will monitor delivery reports and work directly with suppliers to resolve issues. You will manage supplier relationships and ensure that suppliers are delivering on key performance indicators. In addition to external suppliers, this position interacts with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Product Management. This is a critical role that requires a strong sense of urgency, great communications skills and the desire to make a measurable and immediate impact on the business. This is a regular, full-time, on-site position located at Hale Products, Inc. in Ocala, FL.\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nManage procurement activities including issuing of purchase orders, expediting orders, and resolving discrepancies.\nEvaluate and analyze buy signals from MRP system, experience with JDE desirable\nReview and update procurement policies and procedures.\nCollaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs, resolve supply challenges and improve material availability\nAnalyze vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and price as well as other pertinent data to maintain a strong and sustainable supply chain. Make timely recommendations using data to support timely supply chain decisions.\nCoordinate nonconformance issues with internal teams and suppliers in a timely manner\nAuthorize payment of invoices or return of merchandise\nInterface with vendors and build relationships to maintain a high level of support and through all aspects of the procurement process\nPerform other duties which may be required by supervisor\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES\nUnderstanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.\nProficiency with procurement software, working within ERP systems and tools; experience with JDE desirable.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.\nAbility to resolve supply chain issues and ensure timely delivery of materials.\nAbility to engage and collaborate with all levels of the organization\nKeen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders and compliance with specifications.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\n· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, with emphasis in business administration, economics, production, manufacturing, and/or engineering.\n· Two (2) years of progressively responsible purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
