This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, workflows and physical work cells to enhance efficiencies while also working to reduce waste, improve product quality and enhance workplace safety. The qualified candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams - including production, quality, engineering, continuous improvement, and facilities. Responsibilities include researching, designing, and developing new equipment, systems, procedures, and solutions to support new product introduction and existing product optimization, while also working to address production constraints related to processes and tooling.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.\nEvaluates manufacturing processes based on cycle time, TAKT time, and quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed; manages process-improvement projects\nDesigns tools, fixtures and machines used to assemble, manufacture and inspect products.\nDevelop and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures for air blower assembly and production.\nCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new products, providing input on design changes to improve production efficiency.\nImplement and maintain preventative maintenance programs for production equipment and tooling.\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle times, downtime, and defect rates to identify improvement opportunities.\nUtilize lean manufacturing principles and 80/20 tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nSources and plans: installs new equipment and ensures that it operates correctly; trains others to operate new machinery\nTrain and support production staff on new processes, equipment, and technologies.\nTroubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and partners with manufacturer to support equipment repair\nDevelops and implements manufacturing, production and ISO certification procedures and processes\nAssists with EH&S projects to maintain a safe manufacturing environment.\nMaintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes\nSupport potential automation initiatives for assembly and inspection processes\nPerforms other duties as assigned within scope of position\nQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
