This role leads product lifecycle management, market positioning, pricing strategy, portfolio optimization, and new product development initiatives while supporting a project-driven business environment. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and customers, the Product Manager serves as the voice of the market, identifiesgrowth opportunities, supports complex customer applications, and ensures products meet evolving industry requirements. Reporting to the Business Line Leader, this position plays a key role in driving innovation, market share growth, and long-term business success.\nEssential Functions\nManage the Diaphragm and Rotary Gear product portfolios and their lifecycle strategy.\n\nDevelop and execute growth strategies that increase revenue, profitability, and market share.\n\nDrive portfolio planning, product enhancements, new product introductions, and product rationalization activities.\n\nPartner with Engineering to define product requirements, prioritize development projects, and execute product roadmaps.\n\nSupport project-based sales opportunities by providing market expertise, application knowledge, and product guidance.\n\nAnalyze customer requirements, market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identifygrowth opportunities.\n\nDevelop pricing strategies and business cases that maximize value while maintainingcompetitiveness.\n\nCollaborate with Sales and Distributor Partners to support specification opportunities and strategic customer projects.\n\nMonitor product line financial performance and implement actions to achieve revenue and margin objectives.\n\nConduct competitive analysis, market assessments, and voice-of-customer activities to support strategic decision-making.\n\nForecast product demand and support annual operating plans and growth initiatives.\n\nDevelop product positioning, sales tools, training materials, and customer-facing content.\n\nPresent product strategy, market insights, and business performance updates to leadership.\n\nLead cross-functional teams to deliver successful product launches and strategic initiatives.\n\nTravel up to 25% to support customers, distributors, trade shows, and market research activities.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nEXPERIENCE& EDUCATION\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related technical discipline required; MBA preferred.\n\nFive or more years of product management experience within engineered products, industrial equipment, fluid handling, pumps, process equipment, or related manufacturing industries.\n\nExperience supporting project-based or engineered-to-order products preferred.\n\nStrong understanding of product lifecycle management, market analysis, pricing strategy, and commercialization processes.\n\nExperience collaborating with Engineering on new product development and technical product roadmaps.\n\nProven success driving product growth in industrial B2B markets.\n\nExperience working with distributors, OEMs, EPC firms, integrators, or industrial end users preferred.\n\nAbility to analyze technical, financial, market, and customer data to drive business decisions.\n\nStrong analytical, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nProficiencywith Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.\n\nAbility to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a project-based environment.\n\nWillingness to travel up to 25%.\n\nCOMPETENCIES\nCustomer Focus: Understands customer applications and industry challenges to develop solutions that create value and drive growth.\n\nStrategic Thinking: Evaluates market trends, customer needs, and business objectivesto define long-term product strategies.\n\nDecision Making: Uses technical, financial, and market data to make informed business decisions.\n\nCommunication Skills: Communicates product strategy, project priorities, and business recommendations clearly to stakeholders.\n\nRelationship Building: Builds trusted partnerships with customers, sales teams, distributors, engineering, and leadership.\n\nAccountability: Takes ownership of product line performance and delivers measurable business results.\n\nOffice Environment\nThis position operatesin a manufacturing office setting and involves regular use of standard office equipment.
