Accurately capture measurement data for capability tracking and future reference. Feedback inspection issues to suppliers requesting corrective actions. Receive merchandise returned from customers and conduct analysis as needed. Work with production to prioritize important inbound items.\nResponsibilities:\nPrimary\nMeasure identified incoming materials and components to specifications\nUtilize CMM and mechanical gages to take measurements\nAccurately record all measurement data\nReport material and component issues\nInitiate supplier corrective actions with Quality Engineer\nArrange the return of defective components to suppliers\nTrack issues via 8D format for corrective actions\nProcess Returned Merchandise and conduct analysis as needed\nExecute root cause / problem solving techniques to solve issues\nCoordinate trial builds to confirm component application\nPrioritize the incoming materials and components to process\nCollaborate with value stream team to improve quality\nSecondary\nSupport customer quality issue resolution\nCross train within QC to support quality initiatives\nResponsible for aiding in own self-development by participation in all training made available by the company\nParticipate within Rapid Improvement Events as needed\nOther specific tasks as assigned by the department manager.\nRequired Qualifications:\n5 to 7 years related experience in manufacturing and/or quality \nExperience CMM programmer and operator\nExperience with ERP System\nProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook\nMechanically inclined for understanding products\nAbility to effectively work with cross-functional teams\nEffective verbal & written communication skills at all levels in the organization\nSelf-starter and results-oriented approach\nAble to make analytical decisions based on data collection and analysis\nAble to work independently and within a team\nAdditional Preferred Qualifications\nTraining in continuous process improvement processes\nComprehension of SPC methods\nWorking Conditions\n Environment controlled area\n Well-lit workspace\n Combination of office, production and warehouse working areas\nPhysical Requirements\n Standing, sitting and squatting as needed\n Pinching, grasping and lifting up to 35 lbs.\n Acceptable visual capabilities\nSafety Requirements\nSupport 5S within the work area to ensure safety goals are exceeded\nMaintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all department machinery, equipment, and resources\nInform Management of Safety issues, reports workplace injury or incident\nQuality Requirements\nCommunicate all Quality issues to the appropriate management and personnel\nMake improvements as needed to ensure high quality products are produced\nSupport the reduction of waste, cost, scrap and downtime\nEnsure the proper process documents are in place and followed (IE: PFMEA, Control Plans and Work Instructions)\nProductivity Requirements\nProductivity improvement thru quality improvements\nProvide quick response to quality issues\nAre you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?\nIDEX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
