This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support business needs. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various general accounting duties, reconciliations, and assisting with financial planning and reporting processes\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPrepare and post journal entries to ensure timely and accurate month-end closing.\n\nReconcile general ledger accounts and investigate any discrepancies.\n\nAssist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.\n\nEnsure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.\n\nAssist in reviewing and maintaining vendor accounts, payments, and accruals.\n\nSupport budgeting and forecasting processes by compiling financial data and reports.\n\nAnalyze financial trends and variances to provide insights for management decisions.\n\nCollaborate with other departments and locations to improve financial processes and controls.\n\nIdentify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting functions.\n\nSupport internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.\n\nEnsure compliance with company policies and financial controls to prevent errors and fraud.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES\nClear and effective communication, both in writing and speaking.\n\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.\n\nProficiency in computer software like Microsoft suites.\n\nAbility to manage and complete tasks promptly.\n\nEffective communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nOne to Three-year of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate finance environment.\n\nJDE ERP experience preferred.\n\nSystems data input experience required.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
