From leak detection within water infrastructure to enabling the push towards personalized medicine, IDEX is a leader in creating enabling technology and improving business prospects for a diverse customer set across the globe.\nPosition Summary\nThe Supply Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining supply plans that ensure customer demand is met while balancing inventory investment, manufacturing capacity, and operational efficiency.\nThis role converts demand requirements into executable supply and production plans through effective use of ERP and planning systems. The Supply Planner works closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Demand Planning, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Commercial teams to optimize product availability, minimize supply risks, and maintain high service levels.\nThe role provides an excellent opportunity to develop end-to-end supply chain planning expertise and progress within the PPE planning organization.\nThe ideal candidate for this role would be located within commutable distance from the Brenham, Texas plant. We are not offering relocation for this role.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupply Planning\nCreate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly supply plans to meet customer demand and business objectives.\nTranslate demand forecasts, customer orders, inventory positions, and capacity constraints into actionable production requirements.\nEnsure alignment between supply plans, inventory targets, and operational capabilities.\nMonitor and adjust plans based on changing demand, supply constraints, and manufacturing priorities.\nProduction Scheduling\nGenerate and manage production schedules and work orders through JD Edwards (JDE) and related planning systems.\nCoordinate milling, extrusion, and finished goods production requirements to support customer deliveries.\nWork closely with manufacturing teams to ensure schedule adherence and efficient resource utilization.\nSupport recovery planning and schedule adjustments when disruptions occur.\nInventory Management\nMonitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and working capital.\nIdentify potential stock shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence risks.\nRecommend inventory actions to support service, cost, and inventory objectives.\nSupport cycle count, inventory accuracy, and data governance initiatives.\nSupply Risk Management\nProactively identify material, capacity, and supply risks.\nCollaborate with Procurement and Manufacturing teams to resolve shortages and mitigate service impacts.\nEscalate critical supply risks and provide recommended solutions.\nSupport business continuity and contingency planning activities.\nData Analysis & Reporting\nMonitor planning performance and report key supply chain KPIs.\nAnalyze root causes of supply, inventory, or service issues and recommend corrective actions.\nDevelop reports and insights to support decision-making.\nEnsure planning master data, planning parameters, and ERP records remain accurate and up to date.\nContinuous Improvement\nSupport planning process enhancements and system optimization initiatives.\nParticipate in projects focused on inventory optimization, planning efficiency, automation, and data quality improvements.\nContribute ideas that improve customer service, operational efficiency, and planning accuracy.\nSupport implementation of best practices across PPE planning processes.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Warehousing, and Commercial teams to ensure successful plan execution.\nCommunicate supply plans, inventory risks, and service challenges in a clear and timely manner.\nParticipate in Supply Planning and SIOP reviews as required.\nBuild strong working relationships across the organization to drive collaborative problem-solving.\nKey Accountabilities\nThe Supply Planner is accountable for:\nCreation and maintenance of supply plans and production Planning, Production Planning, Materials Planning, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain operations.\nExperience using ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPreferred\nExperience with JD Edwards (JDE).\nExperience using Power BI or other analytical/reporting tools.\nKnowledge of SIOP/S&OP planning processes.\nExperience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.\nAPICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) or willingness to pursue certification.\nExperience supporting
