We are on the hunt for an ambitious and experienced Controller to own the accounting and reporting functions for two closely related subsidiaries of IDEX Corporation (NYSE: IEX). In this role you will be the key player driving a world-class monthly closing cycle and ensuring compliance with world-class financial controls. We are striving for excellence and growth. If that resonates with you and your goals, please read on.\nEssential Functions:\nProactively supports a culture of safety and quality as top organizational priorities.\nActively participates in ongoing training initiatives and collaborates with team members and leadership to share information in a structured process.\nOversee, maintain and manage the general ledgers of two companies and prepare monthly account reconciliations.\nManage the monthly accounting close process and attain corporate reporting deadlines.\nManage and develop direct reports including the Assistant Controller and AP Administrator.\nPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.\nHelp the Finance Director and FP&A Senior Analyst to forecast monthly and\nquarterly financial performance including unusual or one-off items.\nAnalyze and communicate key drivers of company financial results to leadership.\nPartner across the organization to identify opportunities for efficiency within both financial and operational processes.\nProvide ad-hoc financial analysis.\nManage banking activity.\nManage accounts payable and accounts receivable to achieve working capital performance goals and provide working capital forecasts.\nAssist customers, vendors, and employees with finance and accounting processes.\nCoordinate activities with internal auditors as necessary.\nMaintain and ensure compliance with financial controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley and IDEX Key Controls.\nAssist in budget preparation.\nSupport the Finance Director and other leaders with projects as required.\nSupport the ongoing program of integration with IDEX, including an upcoming migration to a new MRP.\nRequired Qualifications:\nFive years’ finance and accounting experience with manufacturing background preferred.\nCPA accreditation and previous experience in public accounting preferred.\nBS degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nCollaborative and helpful attitude with employees, vendors and customers.\nAdvanced skills in MS Excel and MRP systems. Experience in Infor/Visual products or JD Edwards/Oracle products is a plus.\nExcellent knowledge of GAAP.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nPeople management skills, including teaching, coaching and collaboration.\nTotal Rewards\nThe compensation range for this position is $112,000 - $169,000.00, depending on experience.
