Experienced in the use of computer-assisted engineering and design software to aid in engineering tasks.\n- PCB design, layout, and placement of complex multi-layer PCBAs to produce low cost, low noise, and high reliability assemblies.\n- Implement electrical circuit to interface environmental sensors requiring excitation and signal conditioning, such as, DAC, ADC, filters, sensors such as pressure, temperature, piezo ultrasonics. Conduct electrical component research, support part obsolescence and supply chain challenges.\n- Utilize a prototype and proof of concept feedback system that enables the ability to rapidly test mechanical, firmware and electronic component design assumptions in lab and field conditions.\n- Design new product including the mechanical components,\n- Design mechanical components upgrades for current products.\n- Design and fabricate test control apparatus and equipment.\n- Utilize ISO controlled design and development process and all required documentation via PLM system.\n- Execute engineering design reviews and participate in cross-functional stage gate approvals.\n- Develop validation and verification test procedures to confirm product specifications including simulation and physical testing.\n- Support and execute against an auditable certification process for assurance of product performance in potentially explosive atmospheres. Become familiar with intrinsic safety requirements and ensure that new designs can meet them and support certification effort and calculations.\n- Assist in all aspects of hardware engineering, offering ideas and innovative concepts to solve problems.\n- Collaborate and effectively communicate with a small team to develop products within requirements.\n- Remain up to date on the latest technologies to drive creative solutions for customers.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent professional experience required.\n- 2+ years of professional design experience in schematic and PCB layout design required.\n- Soldering and prototype construction experience\n- Regulatory compliance experience (intrinsic safety experience preferred)\n- ECAD expertise (Solidworks preferred)\n- Understanding of manufacturing processes and tolerancing requirements in design.\n- Working knowledge of regulatory certification processes and standards preferred.\n- Able to communicate effectively orally and in written form.\nAre you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?\nTotal Rewards\nThe compensation range for this position is $78,200.00 - $117,200.00, depending on experience.
