Support of engineering and design aspects of industrial product lines including custom orders and production issues. Lead and report progress on projects as assigned by the Engineering Director in support of product improvements, 80/20, cost reduction and VAVE efforts. Work closely with Engineering Director to support leadership of the Engineering team.\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nLead and assign Engineers and Designers within the Current Products team.\nDrive timely completion of orders and drawing requests to support internal and external Customers.\nEngage with the Product Management and Operations team to execute on 80/20 and VAVE activities.\nAssess engineering requirements and assign projects as they enter the department to meet Customer needs.\nAnalyze job assignments, determine estimated time to complete each assignment and measure performance using time-lines and objective data.\nWith input from Management, schedule and lead project work to meet or exceed intended deadlines.\nResponsible for the timely execution of project work performed by the group. Confirm estimates and expected delivery criteria is provided to internal and external Customers.\nConduct performance evaluations on engineering personnel regularly using objective information and data.\nIdentify new technologies and tools that aid in the pursuit of product understanding and increased efficiency.\nEnsure personnel follow sound engineering practices, guaranteeing safety and reliability are key components in every design.\nConstantly seek to improve department personnel by mentoring, monitoring and suggesting educational opportunities that will hone skills needed to increase performance.\nMay be required to travel as work necessitates.\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\nTwo-year Engineering Technology, Industrial Design, Drafting, or related degree required. BA/BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred. 3 to 5 years’ experience in rotating equipment and liquid handling field.\nSupervisory experience is required.\nOTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:\n Certain positions with IDEX Corporation and its business units require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations.
