This position requires ownership and vast depth and breadth in many areas. It is critical for this person to be a team player with the ability to be flexible, positive, and collaborative, to be able lead, support and work individually as required to contribute to the success and growth of IDEX Health & Science.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES:\nThe QE is an integral part of the organization, leading, collaborating, facilitating, and supporting the needs of the organization with a sense of ownership and integrity fostering a positive work environment and a shared Quality Culture.\nDemonstrated understanding of quality metrics, process characterization, mapping processes, Lean Manufacturing, VSM, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement.\nThe ability to take initiative, a sense of ownership and follow through is essential to the health of the organization.\nDemonstration of successful customer and supplier facing interactions regarding quality qualification, returns, and continuous improvement.\nResponsible for assuring customer and supplier quality performance, and effectively communicating updates to the external parties.\nThe ability to openly and willingly communicate at all levels is critical to enhance efficiency and productivity.\nThe QE must be a positive team player, someone that can be counted on to contribute fully and willingly to go the extra mile to meet the goals of the team and the company as a whole.\nLead internal and supplier quality audits\nActively assuring compliance to IS0.9001, company policies, customer and regulatory requirements.\nResponsible for assuring customer and supplier quality performances.\nImplement quality planning, control plan, FMEA, inspection methodology,.\nWork with Operations and Engineering to increase efficiency through the improvement of in-house and supplier manufacturing processes, and product quality/reliability.\nDeveloping and managing KPI's, databases and countermeasures as required for continuous improvements\nParticipate in Material Review Board activities and feedback to suppliers.\nRoot cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.\nResponsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen Lean methods, etc.\nOther duties as assigned.\nHighly valued characteristics\nOptical systems education and/or experience, such as:\no Wavelength\no Metrology (e.g. Perk and Elmer and Zygo)\no Thin film deposition experience\no Vacuum coating technologies,\no Core and dice shaping\no Beveling\no Part Marking\no Assembly\no Inspection (ISO and ANSI)\no Custom Data Capabilities (e.g. Spectral Data, Dimensional Data, Zygo, White Light Interferometry, Wedgeman, Serialization)\no FAI (First Article Inspection)\nProject management experience\nValue Stream production support both High Mix and High Volume\nASQ Certified Quality Auditor or Certified ISO XX Lead Auditor\nExperience in design quality engineering\nFamiliarity with ISO 17025\nKnowledge of SQL\nExperience with REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, ITAR, EAR and other regulatory requirements\nAbility to develop and deliver quality and continuous improvement related training materials\nOn site predominately.\nRelocation considered.\nAre you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?\nTotal Rewards\nThe compensation range for this position is $88,200.00 - $132,200.00, depending on experience.
