This role serves as a technical resource for machining processes, tooling selection, programming standards, process improvement initiatives, and shop floor support. The position works closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Machining personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing operations.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nCreate, modify, verify, and maintain CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.\nGenerate and validate toolpaths through simulation, prove-out, and production support activities.\nOwn tooling selection and optimization, including cutting tools, feeds and speeds, tool life improvements, and evaluation of new tooling technologies.\nDevelop machining strategies, tooling, work holding, setups, and process documentation.\nSupport new product introductions, process development, and production readiness.\nTroubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining issues to minimize downtime.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve manufacturing performance.\nRecommend tooling, fixturing, and process improvements to increase quality, efficiency, and throughput.\nMaintain program revisions, setup sheets, work instructions, and related documentation.\nTrain and mentor machinists on programming, machining techniques, and best practices.\nSupport continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, quality, and safety initiatives.\nConduct time studies or create estimates for machine/cycle times and update routing information for accurate product costing.\nEducation/ Experience:\nRequired:\nAssociate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.\n8+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience programming complex milling, turning, and multi-axis machining operations.\n5+ years of CAM programming experience\nPreferred:\nWorking knowledge of ESPRIT system.\nExperience with Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or Vericut.\nFixture and workholding design experience.\nERP/MRP system experience.\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nProficiency with CAD/CAM software and CNC machining processes.\nStrong understanding of G-Code, M-Code, GD&T, tooling, feeds and speeds, and machine setup.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and training skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing documentation systems.\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.\nMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.\nWork Environment\nExposure to a manufacturing environment. Noise levels may vary from moderate office environment to noisy/loud in the plant area.
