Whether you’re an experienced professional, a recent college graduate or somewhere in between, IDEX is a place where you can apply your existing skills and learn new ones in an environment where you can make an impact.\nWith interesting opportunities in engineering, marketing, sales, supply chain, operations, HR, finance, and more across more than 40 diverse businesses around the globe, chances are, we have something special for you.\nValue Stream Manager\nJob Title: Value Stream Manager\nReporting To: Vice President, Operations\nLocation: Farmington, CT\nKey Responsibilities\nValue Stream Leadership\nOwn the overall day-to-day performance of the assigned value stream, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and people.\nTranslate operational goals into clear priorities and daily execution plans for the team.\nEstablish performance expectations and hold employees accountable for delivering results.\nMonitor value stream performance and take corrective action when performance falls below expectations.\nCoordinate across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, and other functions to remove barriers and meet customer requirements.\nPeople Leadership & Development\nLead, coach, and develop employees within the assigned value stream.\nBuild a culture of ownership, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nEnsure employees are appropriately trained and qualified to perform their roles.\nDevelop employee capabilities through coaching, cross-training, skill development, and regular performance feedback.\nAddress performance, attendance, conduct, and other people-related issues consistently and promptly.\nBuild bench strength and develop future team leads and manufacturing leaders.\nOperational Excellence\nDrive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving.\nImprove manufacturing flow, capacity, productivity, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.\nIdentify and eliminate waste, bottlenecks, rework, and other sources of operational inefficiency.\nUse visual management and operating metrics to understand performance and drive daily accountability.\nLead root-cause problem solving and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.\nSupport standard work, 5S, daily management, and other Lean operating practices.\nSafety & Quality\nMaintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with established safety requirements and procedures.\nReinforce safe work practices and proactively address unsafe conditions or behaviors.\nPartner with Quality to ensure products meet customer and internal quality requirements.\nDrive accountability for quality at the source and reduction of scrap, rework, and manufacturing defects.\nEnsure the value stream maintains appropriate process discipline and adherence to established procedures.\nCustomer Delivery & Business Performance\nMaintain focus on meeting customer commitments for quality and delivery.\nWork with Planning and Supply Chain to understand demand, priorities, material requirements, and capacity constraints.\nBalance staffing, equipment, and resources to meet production requirements.\nIdentify risks to customer delivery and establish recovery plans when needed.\nSupport new product introductions, production transfers, equipment changes, and other operational initiatives affecting the value stream.\nRequired Experience\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.\n7+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.\nExperience leading employees in a production or manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated experience improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.\nExperience applying Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.\nExperience working within a cross-functional manufacturing organization.\nTechnical Knowledge / Skills\nStrong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and tools.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, capacity, labor utilization, and material flow.\nAbility to interpret operational data and translate information into actions.\nExperience with structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.\nStrong understanding of daily management systems, visual management, standard work, and continuous improvement.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.\nAre you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?\nTotal Rewards\nThe compensation range for this position is $88,200.00 - $132,200.00, depending on experience.
