Inside Sales Representative Belgium

As an ISR (Inside Sales Representative) you will have impactful virtual business conversations with our customers, creating customer loyalty by understanding the daily realities of a veterinary practice - creating demand and selling IDEXX diagnostic products and services to customers via phone.

Our IDEXX ISR supports and collaborates with the IDEXX customer ecosystem colleagues, such as Veterinarian Diagnostic Consultant (VDC), Veterinarian Diagnostic Specialist (VDS), and the Area Sales Manager (ASM) to leverage the strengths of the IDEXX portfolio, promotional offerings, and a targeted sales approach to drive profitable revenues and customer satisfaction.

Why this role matters:

Externally, our ISRs are the crucial bridge between our customers and IDEXX - you work to equip veterinary clinics with the tests and tools they need to help keep pets happy and healthy.

In this role:

• You will create demand for IDEXX products and services with prospective and existing customers
• You will generate sales and promote rapid assay tests and other specialty tests through value creation and customer loyalty proposition. You will identify customer needs, recommend the most suitable solutions, and support customers in improving their diagnostic workflows and clinical decision-making.
• You will identify the customer in-house diagnostic and reference laboratory needs and will create in-house diagnostic sales opportunities. Identify potential customers for in-house diagnostics acquisition by needs discovery and information collection.

• You will support conversion of marketing qualified leads (MQL) to sales qualified leads (SQL). Create sales opportunities in a customer data management system and assign them to the respective area VDC/VDS colleagues.
• You will perform frequent, impactful, virtual business conversations with customers identifying their diagnostic needs and proposing relevant solutions
• You will process customer Rapid Assay orders.
• You will effectively work with your Sales Ecosystem of colleagues on customer needs and growth opportunities, leveraging all expertise and functions of the Sales Ecosystem for the benefit of the customer.
• You will develop and maintain excellent expertise in products and services, competencies, process and technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.

What you need to succeed:

• You are fluent in English, French & Dutch - both verbal & written

• You will be customer and task oriented; you have previous experience of daily contact with customers - ideally with proven experience of virtual sales
• You will be committed to drive results in a virtual sales environment via phone, email, chat - you have strong interpersonal & communication skills
• You will have the ability to work independently & as a committed team player
• You will be action-oriented and resilient in a fast-paced business environment - you’re very organized with a proactive nature and have a keen attention to detail
• You will be empathetic, credible, and sociable - you understand the importance of building and maintaining relationships with customers
• You will have the ability to absorb and articulate technical information, you can adapt your communication to be suitable for a variety of stakeholders
• You will understand the veterinary diagnostic market and experience in healthcare, or the scientific industry is a plus
