This is a senior individual contributor role focused on the most complex and most visible analysis the function produces: the financial modeling behind the annual strategic plan, the analysis themes that frame the budget, and the value-added analysis that extends strategic plan and Board of Directors themes into clear answers for leadership.\nThe Senior Financial Analyst is also a trusted finance business partner to Legal, Finance, Corporate Strategy, and executive stakeholders, supports execution of the corporate planning cycle alongside the leader of that process, and serves as a Corporate FP&A subject matter expert for our enterprise planning platform through and beyond its transition. The role is positioned as a development path toward expanded leadership of the corporate planning process over time.\nLocation: This role is required to be onsite 8+ days per month at our Westbrook, Maine headquarters.\nWhy this role matters:\nThe purpose of our global finance team is to efficiently deliver relevant, reliable and timely financial services and to partner in business decisions which will enhance IDEXX's long-term value for employees, customers, and shareholders.\nIn this role:\nYou will build and maintain the financial models that underpin the annual strategic plan, developing scenarios, testing sensitivities, and translating assumptions into multi-year financial outcomes.\nYou will develop the analysis themes that frame the annual budget, surfacing the trade-offs, risks, and opportunities leadership needs in order to set targets and commitments.\nYou will produce value-added analysis that extends strategic plan and Board of Directors themes, turning open leadership questions into structured analysis and clear, well-supported recommendations.\nYou will serve as a finance business partner to Legal, Finance, Corporate Strategy, and executive stakeholders, providing planning support, performance insight, and decision support on their key initiatives.\nYou will support execution of the corporate planning cycle, partnering with the leader of the planning process to coordinate the calendar, templates, submissions, and consolidated deliverables across contributing finance teams.\nYou will prepare and review materials for executive leadership and the Board, making sure the financial story is accurate, internally consistent, and clearly told.\nYou will act as the Corporate FP&A liaison for OneStream, supporting planning and reporting processes, resolving issues, and helping colleagues across finance use the platform effectively.\nYou will play a key role in the OneStream transition, contributing to design decisions, data validation, testing, parallel runs, and adoption for Corporate FP&A.\nYou will identify and implement improvements to planning and reporting processes, applying system capabilities, automation, and AI-enabled tools to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy and timeliness.\nYou will document processes and share expertise to support cross-training across the team, strengthening business continuity and allowing responsibilities to rotate over time.\nYou will complete ad hoc financial analysis and special projects in response to questions from senior leadership, delivering decision-ready output under tight timelines.\nYou will take on progressively broader responsibility across the corporate planning process as you grow in the role.\nWhat you need to succeed:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Master’s degree, CPA, or CFA preferred.\nProgressive experience in FP&A, including financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and management reporting in a global organization.\nAdvanced financial modeling skills, including multi-year planning, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.\nExperience supporting strategic planning and Board-level or executive-level reporting preferred.\nAbility to move fluidly between strategic thought leadership and detailed, hands-on execution.\nReasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills to resolve complex, ambiguous issues.\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tell a story to financial and non-financial audiences, including senior leadership.\nExcellent business partnering and relationship-building skills, with general business knowledge required.\nExcellent attention to detail, paired with the judgment to distinguish what matters most.\nStrong time and project management skills, with a proven record of bringing work streams through to solid completion.\nStrong work ethic and a clear sense of ownership for the work and deliverables.\nContinuous improvement mindset, a thirst to understand the why and how rather than just the what, and a willingness to question the status quo.\nAbility to work effectively with ambiguity and shifting priorities.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\nKnowledge of automation and AI capabilities and their application to finance processes preferred.\nWhat you can expect from us:\nBase salary of $130,000 + (based on experience)\nOpportunity for an annual bonus and equity\nHealth, dental, and vision benefits effective on Day One\n5% matching 401(k)\nAdditional benefits including financial support resources, pet insurance, mental health resources, volunteer paid days off, employee stock purchase opportunities, foundation donation matching, and more\nWhy IDEXX\nWe’re proud of the work we do, because our work matters.
