We operate in a complex, innovative, and exciting culture, to build and support a platform spanning multiple devices to accelerate our ability to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.\nThis is an onsite position requiring full-time onsite presence at our Westbrook, ME location.\nWhat you can expect in this role:\nDesigns, develops, and maintains Linux drivers, BSPs, and Yocto-based Linux distributions.\n\nWrite and maintain unit and integration tests. Contributes to CI pipeline development.\n\nSupports software/firmware/hardware integration to deliver functional solutions.\n\nParticipates in the development of new product requirements, features and designs.\n\nCreates design, release and other related software/system documentation.\n\nCoordinates with development project teams throughout the design, prototype, and production release phases.\n\nActively supports software engineering functional excellence objectives.\n\nWhat you'll need to succeed:\nProficiency with C/C++, bootloaders, and firmware development.\n\nScripting experience with Python and Bash in Linux operating systems.\n\nAbility to debug issues across bring-up, validation, and production phases of programs.\n\nAble to read and interpret board schematics.\n\nFamiliarity with various embedded protocols including but not limited to I2C, SPI, USB, PCIe, etc.\n\nMust be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision and driving tasks to completion.\n\nAbility to work in a team environment as well as individually.\n\nFluency in the English language.\n\nEffective verbal and written communications skills, as both a listener and a speaker.\n\nNice to have: Strong hands-on experience with Xilinx SoC/SoM architecture and build-tools.\n\nNice to have: Experience with Buildroot, CMake, Github Actions, TCL.\n\nWhat you can expect from us\nBase salary range starting at $143,000 based on experience\n\nOpportunity for annual cash bonus\n\nHealth / Dental / Vision Benefits Day-One\n\n5% matching 401k\n\nAdditional benefits including but not limited to financial support, pet insurance, mental health resources, volunteer paid days off, employee stock program, foundation donation matching, and much more\n\nWhy IDEXX\nWe're proud of the work we do, because our work matters.
