Engineering Manager (A2G)

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the cross-functional team responsible for building and evolving the Awards2Go platform, a B2B prepaid rewards solution that enables organizations to distribute physical and virtual Visa prepaid cards for employee recognition, customer incentives, rebates, refunds, corporate gifting, and expense management. The platform includes customer-facing web applications, APIs, payment workflows, card lifecycle management, reporting, and integrations with financial partners.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for building a high-performing engineering organization while partnering closely with Product, Design, Operations, Compliance, Customer Success, and business stakeholders. You will ensure the team delivers secure, scalable, and reliable software that serves enterprise customers.

In addition, this role also leads the Platform Engineering team, a purely functional team responsible for internal developer tooling and the entire infrastructure underpinning the DTC (direct-to-customer) channel of the Boss Revolution product.

Requirements:

• Proven Leadership Experience: At least3 year of experience leading cross-functional, agile development teams, ideally in a product-driven environment.
• Technical Background: Solidhands-on experience as a software engineer.
• DevOps and Automation Skills: Familiarity with continuous integration, automated testing, release management, and performance monitoring.
• Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively prioritize, plan, and perform under pressure or in uncertain situations.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Talent Development (Preferred): Experience in hiring and nurturing high-performing engineering teams is a plus.
• Language Proficiency: Good command ofEnglish, at B2 level or higher.
• Functional/Platform Team Experience: Practical, hands-on knowledge of how functional/DevOps/platform teams operate (internal developer tooling, shared infrastructure, observability) - distinct from managing a product/feature team.

Primary responsibilities:

People Management:

• Recruit and retain top engineering talent.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones to support growth and assess performance.
• Lead and mentor engineers, fostering learning and collaboration.
• Maintain engineering culture standards.

Delivery Management:

• Optimize team structure and resource allocation based on priorities and strengths.
• Manage timelines and deliverables for high-quality, on-time delivery.
• Improve engineering processes for better efficiency and quality.
• Drive agile practices and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives.
• Ensure clear stakeholder communication and alignment.
• Align engineering with company objectives and business value.

Engineering Management:

• Maintain high code quality and architectural standards.
• Guide technical decisions to align with company standards and goals.
• Drive innovation and technical improvements.
• Lead technical discussions and decision-making.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Work with Compliance on regulatory requirements and audits.
• Conduct thorough incident reviews to address root causes.
• Set direction and standards across both the product team (Awards2Go) and the functional/platform team (Platform Engineering).
