We provide a standardized developer platform that integrates CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, infrastructure automation, and developer tooling across both connected and classified environments. A portion of this work occurs in air-gapped environments, where automation, repeatability, and disciplined processes are critical to success.\n\nIn this role, you will:\nImprove the developer experience by reducing friction in CI/CD pipelines and platform workflows\nHelp ensure software delivered to classified environments meets strict security and compliance requirements\nContribute to a repeatable, scalable Software Factory that operates consistently across connected and air-gapped environments\nSupport engineers across multiple programs by providing reliable tooling, environments, and guidance\nClearance & Location Requirements:\nAll applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.\nThis is an on-site position. Requiring at least 2 days in office, based out of our Arlington, VA location.\nKey Responsibilities\n What You Will Do:\nBuild, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins, following established enterprise patterns\nIntegrate and operate automated security controls within pipelines, including SAST, SCA, container scanning, SBOM generation, and secrets detection\nSupport and maintain core Software Factory tooling (e.g., GitLab, artifact repositories, scanning tools, CI/CD infrastructure)\nDevelop and update Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Ansible and Terraform, leveraging standardized templates\nDeploy, configure, and maintain containerized workloads using Podman and Kubernetes (RKE2 or similar distributions)\nOperate and support DevSecOps platforms within air-gapped classified environments, including:packaging and deploying dependencies\ntroubleshooting environment-specific issues\nsupporting repeatable software delivery without external connectivity\n\nAssist in enforcing compliance requirements (e.g., NIST 800-171, DISA STIGs, RMF) through automation and pipeline controls\nInvestigate and resolve technical issues across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and tooling, documenting root causes and solutions\nGather developer feedback and identify opportunities to improve platform usability, performance, and reliability\nCollaborate with software engineers, security teams, and infrastructure teams to support coordinated delivery efforts\n\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nWho You Are (Required):\n1+ years of professional software or technical experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience\nU.S. citizenship\nAbility to travel up to 10%\nExperience in software development processes\nExperience with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)\nFamiliarity with containerization technologies such as Podman and container orchestration with Kubernetes\nUnderstanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)\nBasic scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash)\nFamiliarity with version control systems, particularly Git\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team\nExcellent communication skills and a desire to learn and grow\n What Makes You Stand Out:\nExperience working in a DevSecOps or DevOps role\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms/hypervisors (e.g., AWS, vCenter)\nFamiliarity with secure software development practices and automated security testing tools\nKnowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)\nExperience working in defense, government, or other mission-critical domains.\nFamiliarity with DoD compliance frameworks such as NIST, DISA STIGs, or RMF\n\nIf you see yourself reflected in this role and are excited about the impact you could make, we encourage you to apply!
