This is a diverse role, and the ideal candidate will be service oriented in support of several human resources functions. This position will work with our remote staff and contractors aligning IEEFA culture to initiatives which strengthen an inclusive and engaged global team. In partnership with experienced HR professionals, this role will build practical skills while working on human resources projects that impact the organization. Candidates for this remote based position should be located in the United States, preferably in the Appalachian region.\nIEEFA is a rapidly-growing NGO/nonprofit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets, trends and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of 80+ analysts and communications personnel located in 16 countries across the globe. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy industries. Our major research reports, daily analysis, press coverage and other resources can be found on our website: www.ieefa.org.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nSupport recruitment, training, new hire onboarding and orientation activities, including HR policies and benefits\nSupport the HR team on strategic projects, reporting, data entry, people data analysis, and process improvement initiatives\nSupport compliance efforts by maintaining confidential records and assisting with audits as necessary\nAssist with employee engagement programs and special events that strengthen workplace culture\nManage communications for employees and managers while helping respond to routine HR-related questions\nSupport day-to-day HR operations and contribute to projects that improve employee experience\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned\nSkills and Attributes\nStrong commitment to excellence in service.\nExceptional interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with diplomacy and tact with all levels and backgrounds of the organization and external candidates.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.\nAbility to perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy.\nSolid proficiency in MS Office suite.\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development or a related field. Senior or graduate level.\nHigh level of energy, initiative, and willingness to learn\nHighly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously\nCommitment to IEEFA’s mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable, and profitable economy\nPreferred Qualifications\nOne year of work experience in human resources\nExperience leveraging AI tools\nDuration and Structure\nThis is a 16 week internship, working remotely 15 hours per week. Due to required collaboration with international teams, the schedule will include some early morning or later evening hours with time off to compensate elsewhere in the schedule to accommodate meetings in different time zones.\nCompensation and Benefits\nUSD $21 per hour. This is not a benefited position.\nTravel\nTravel is generally not anticipated for this role.\nPhysical Demand and Work Environment.\nMust be able to work for prolonged periods at a computer.
