While remaining an active contributor on the line, the Team Lead ensures work is completed on time, to standard, and escalates issues that impact flow, safety, or quality. This role plays a critical part in meeting takt time and fostering adherence to standard work practices.\nEssential Functions\nWork alongside operators to execute daily tasks within assigned station or cell.\nMonitor team adherence to takt time and schedule, escalating risks or issues to the Work Center Supervisor.\nProvide peer coaching, task coordination, and informal training support to newer or less experienced team members.\nAssist in managing material readiness, tool availability, and workstation organization (5S).\nSupport quality checks and ensure standard work instructions are followed; report any deviations.\nLead daily team huddles, communicate shift goals, and update production boards as needed.\nModel safe work behaviors and reinforce safety policies among peers.\nParticipate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities led by the Supervisor or Operations Manager.\n\nQualifications\n2+ years of production or assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrated reliability, teamwork, and performance in a hands-on role.\nStrong understanding of standard work, quality expectations, and takt time principles.\nGood communication and peer leadership skills.\nWillingness to support and coach others while performing production work.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience with Lean tools (5S, standard work, visual boards)\nPeer mentorship or informal training\nLight troubleshooting or escalation awareness\nBasic familiarity with ERP or work instruction systems\nWhy Join IEM\nAt IEM, you’ll join a team that powers some of the world’s most ambitious projects.
