If

If is a Nordic insurance company providing insurance for individuals, businesses and pets. It operates in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and the Baltic states and hires product, people development, sales and cloud security specialists. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.

Are you ready to shape the future of insurance technology and driven by curiosity and eager to translate business and customer needs into clear actions?

At If, we are in the middle of a major business and technology transformation. As we modernize our core insurance platforms through Guidewire InsuranceSuite, we are building capabilities that will influence how we serve our customers and develop our business for years to come.

We are now looking for a experienced business analyst to join our growing Business Development and Transformation team. Whether your experience comes from insurance, financial services or another complex business domain, this is an opportunity to contribute to a large-scale Nordic transformation and help build long-term business and platform capabilities across If.

About the role

As a Business Analyst, you will work at the intersection of business and technology. You will help ensure that business needs are translated into sustainable solutions aligned with Guidewire Cloud principles and If's long-term direction.

You will work with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, development teams and business stakeholders to define, refine and prioritize epics and features that create business value.

By combining business understanding with platform knowledge and solution thinking, you will help us use the platform in a scalable and efficient way.

You will translate business needs into clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria, and support teams throughout the development lifecycle.

An important part of the role is to challenge requirements that create unnecessary complexity and guide stakeholders toward solutions based on standard capabilities and SaaS best practices. You will help If adapt processes and ways of working to a modern cloud platform, rather than over-customizing the platform to preserve existing ways of working.

You will not join a ready-made setup. You will help define how If uses Guidewire Cloud across our Nordic business, influence future solutions and ways of working, and contribute to long-term capability building. The role also gives you the opportunity to deepen your Guidewire expertise while collaborating with experienced colleagues across business and technology.

This role combines business understanding, analysis and solution delivery in an agile environment. You will help shape business initiatives from early analysis and epic definition through feature refinement, delivery and validation, ensuring that solutions are scalable, sustainable and aligned with business goals.

Guidewire certifications and previous platform experience are considered a strong advantage. However, for candidates with the right business and analytical capabilities, we offer the opportunity and expect a commitment to developing Guidewire expertise, including relevant certifications, as part of the role.

What you will contribute to:

  • Driving business analysis and requirement work from idea to implementation
  • Shaping business initiatives through epic, feature and user story refinement
  • Facilitating workshops and aligning stakeholders across business and technology
  • Supporting backlog prioritization and value-driven decision making
  • Defining acceptance criteria and contributing to testing and validation activities
  • Conducting impact analysis and helping identify dependencies across teams, processes and systems
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of business processes and platform capabilities

We offer

In the same way that we place high demands on you as an employee, we also expect you to place high demands on us as an employer. Here are some of the benefits of working at If:

  • An including work environment where everyone is welcome
  • Career and development opportunities in the biggest insurance company in the Nordics
  • Social activities, as well as highly skilled professional environment
  • Possibility of hybrid workplace
  • Health promoting workplace with e.g., wellness allowance and various sports activities
  • Great insurance benefits

About the team

You will join our growing Business Development and Transformation team, a Nordic competence community focused on shaping the future of If’s core business capabilities.

Together, we help translate business needs into sustainable solutions while supporting one of the largest business and technology transformations at If. We work across business domains, countries and delivery teams, combining business understanding, analysis and platform expertise to drive both current transformation initiatives and future business development.

Most of your day-to-day work will take place in agile and cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, Architects, Developers and business stakeholders.

At the same time, you will be part of a broader community where knowledge sharing, capability building and continuous learning are at the heart of how we work. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced colleagues from different business domains, exchange perspectives and best practices, and continuously develop both your business analysis and platform expertise.

Our ambition is to build business professionals with strong platform understanding who can bridge business and technology, drive meaningful change and contribute to long-term value creation across If.

Who are You?

You are a structured and analytical professional who is comfortable navigating complex environments. You combine business understanding with strong system insight and can move between the bigger picture and the details when needed.

You have a strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping create a shared understanding and alignment across business and delivery teams.

You take ownership of your area, collaborate well across organizational boundaries, and are confident in challenging assumptions constructively while guiding stakeholders toward pragmatic and sustainable solutions.

You also have:

  • Experience working with Guidewire InsuranceSuite is highly valued.
  • Experience from other business-critical platforms, enterprise systems or complex transformation environments is also highly relevant.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Business Developer, Product Owner or in a similar role
  • Understanding of Cloud and SaaS-based delivery principles
  • Proven ability to create clear epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Experience working in agile delivery models and supporting backlog refinement
  • Ability to translate between business needs and system solutions
  • Fluency in English; a Nordic language is considered an advantage
  • Guidewire certifications and experience from transformation programs are considered strong advantages
