About the role

We are currently on the lookout for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Service Delivery Manager within our Service Management team in our Operational Excellence unit at If Insurance.
In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of IT services both internally and from our esteemed IT vendors. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and maintain clear channels for handling operations towards all applications and services. This role demands a strong governance structure, both externally and internally, within the If IT community, as well as the implementation of efficient IT Service Management processes.
As a Service Delivery Manager, you will have the opportunity to drive improvements in delivery processes, manage service stability, address problems, and monitor performance. You will be the focal point for communication between IT suppliers and if, leading problem-solving initiatives, managing task forces, and playing a crucial role in our change management processes and procedures development.

About the team
We are a dynamic and interdisciplinary unit within IT operations, dedicated to ensuring operational stability and seamless deliveries both internally and from our IT vendors. Our team, Service Management, works closely together to drive continuous improvement and deliver high quality in everything we do.
We are 15 employees in total divided between Service Delivery management, Incident Management and Change Management.
We consist of passionate and experienced professionals, each bringing their unique skills to the table. Our common goal is to establish new standards for operational excellence, support DevOps practices, and promote the use of modern technologies and work methods.

Who are you?
You have a background in a comparable IT role, where you have gained substantial experience in Service Management (ITSM) activities, particularly within Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management. Your expertise enables you to effectively oversee and coordinate IT operations, ensuring that any challenges arising in IT deliveries are promptly addressed and resolved.
Moreover, you excel at building and maintaining strong relationships with IT units, the wider business, and external vendors. Your approach is proactive and solution-oriented, consistently following up on issues to ensure seamless collaboration and high-quality outcomes. You thrive in environments that require close cooperation across different teams and stakeholders, demonstrating both professionalism and reliability in every aspect of your work.
You also have:
- Education: A relevant bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- TIL 4 or ITIL5 certification
- Previous Job Experience: Proven experience in IT service management, ideally in a senior role. Experience working with cross-functional teams and IT vendors is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of IT services, operations, infrastructure, and application development.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile development methods.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle escalations effectively.
- A proactive, innovative, and self-driven personality.
