We take great pride in\nthe teamwork concept.\nJob Summary:\nFJCABI is seeking an individual to perform A&P/IA Duties at our maintenance facility\nlocated at Abilene Regional Airport. The person chosen for this position will join a team\nof experienced A&P Mechanics conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance\nfor both general and commercial aviation customers. The successful candidate will be\nresponsible for performing maintenance, inspections, repairs, and alterations on a\nvariety of general aviation aircraft in accordance with FAA regulations and company\nprocedures. This role requires a strong understanding of aircraft systems, excellent\ntroubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety\nRequirements\nRequirements & Responsibilities:\nPerform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections (annual, 100-hour, progressive, etc.), repairs, and alterations on airframes, engines (piston and turbine), propellers, and aircraft components.\nTroubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system malfunctions.\nEnsure all work is performed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), manufacturer's manuals, service bulletins, and company policies and procedures.\nAccurately document all work performed, including parts used, discrepancies found, and corrective actions taken, in aircraft logbooks and maintenance records.\nMaintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and accounted for.\nAssist with aircraft movement and ground handling as needed.\nCommunicate effectively with pilots, customers, and other maintenance personnel regarding aircraft status and maintenance findings.\nStay current with industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes.\nAdhere to all safety procedures and practices.\nMay be required to perform other duties as assigned.\nPre-Employment Requirements:\nBackground check\nPre-employment drug screen\nValid drivers license.\nQualifications:\nValid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate.\nInspection Authorization required\nMust have own tools\nMinimum of 3+ years’ experience as an A&P mechanic, in general aviation is strongly desired - including:\no PT6 experience\no King Air experience\no Familiarity with FARs, aircraft inspection and repair requirements.\nComputer skills required\nStrong knowledge of aircraft systems, including airframe structures, engines, propellers, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, landing gear, and environmental control systems.\nProven ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to lift and move heavy objects.\nThis position requires excellent communication skills and attention to detail.\nBenefits:\nOur comprehensive package includes Competitive hourly wages, a matching 401k\nprogram, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage as well\nas Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Life insurance and AD&D coverage.
