Additionally, this role will help accelerate the migration to Windows 11 and Autopilot based laptop deployment. These initiatives are aimed at improving user experience, increasing operational efficiency, and reducing manual intervention across IT services.\nYou will work at the intersection of support and engineering-resolving complex technical issues while proactively identifying opportunities to automate processes, streamline onboarding and implement system integration across platforms.\nThe Team\nThis role sits within the Technology Operations function, reporting to the Technology Operations Manager responsible for EMEA and APAC. The Technology Operations Manager: \nReports into the Infrastructure & Cyber Security Director, who in turn reports to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).\nThe role will operate as an individual contributor with no direct reports, working closely with colleagues across infrastructure, service desk, security, and application teams. The role has a global remit, collaborating across regions to deliver consistent, scalable solutions and support a unified user experience.\nPrincipal accountabilities: \nAutomation, Optimisation & Integration\nDesign and implement automation solutions to reduce manual IT tasks and improve service delivery.\nSimplify and optimise existing Microsoft Intune configurations to reduce complexity and improve maintainability.\nDevelop automated workflows where possible. Initial focus on:User onboarding and offboarding\nLicense assignment based on role or department\nDevice provisioning and configuration\n\nReduce onboarding time through process re-engineering and automation. Evaluate and implement AutoPilot if feasible.\nAutomate data flows and triggers between HR and IT systems (e.g., joiners, movers, leavers processes).\nAccelerate the migration to Windows 11\nEnvironment Alignment & Standardisation\nReview and rationalise existing configurations originating from parallel or historically separate environments.\nIdentify inconsistencies across identity, device management, and access configurations, and implement a unified, standardised approach.\nConsolidate policies within Microsoft Intune and Azure AD to reduce duplication, conflicts, and administrative overhead.\nAlign user lifecycle processes, licensing models, and security controls to a single operating model.Second-Line Support\n\nProvide advanced technical support for escalated end-user issues across Azure, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management platforms.\nTroubleshoot and resolve incidents related to identity, device management, access, and cloud services.\nCollaborate with first-line support to ensure smooth escalation and knowledge transfer.\nAzure & Endpoint Administration\nAdminister and maintain the user-facing elements of the Azure environment, including Azure AD (Entra ID), Intune, and Microsoft 365 services.\nMonitor system performance, security, and compliance across managed endpoints and cloud services.\nWork with stakeholders to carefully transition legacy configurations with minimal disruption to end users.\nReporting & Continuous Improvement\nBuild automated reporting solutions to provide insights into system usage, performance, and service delivery.\nIdentify trends and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.\nContribute to documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.\nSkills & Experience\nEssential:\nStrong experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD (Entra ID) and Microsoft 365.\nHands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) administration and configuration.\nExperience with scripting and automation (PowerShell preferred).\nProven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a cloud-first environment.\nExperience integrating systems via APIs or automation tools.\nDesirable:\nFamiliarity with ITSM tools, particularly HALO or similar platforms.\nKnowledge of identity lifecycle management and role-based access control.\nExperience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).\nPersonal Attributes\nStrong problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and automation.\nAbility to balance reactive support with proactive improvement initiatives.\nClear communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nSelf-motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment.\nApplication Closing Date: 20th November 2026 \nPlease note that while we have a closing date for this application, we reserve the right to interview candidates and potentially close the role early should we find a suitable candidate before the closing date.\nAbout us\nAt the IFRS Foundation, we believe better information leads to better decisions.
