This role ensures production targets, safety standards, and quality requirements are consistently met. Compounds, mixes and blends product batches, runs production lines and transfers finished product into totes by performing the following duties:\nWork Schedule:\n1st Shift - 5:45 A.M. - 2:15 P.M.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate production machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) \nMonitor production lines to ensure efficient workflow and product quality \nPerform routine equipment checks and basic troubleshooting \nFollow all safety, environmental, and quality regulations \nStarts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor.\nReads work order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh and procedure to be followed for manufacturing process.\nWeighs quantities of materials for use in the manufacturing processes.\nLoad raw materials products in prescribed sequence into vat, hopper or mixing pot.\nMonitor and log time and temperature as specified on Batch ticket.\nAccurately records information such as weight, type of product, date and batch number of products produced\nMaintains accuracy of inventory of materials used and on hand by recording on the batch sheet and marking drums.\nPerform quality checks during production to ensure products meet production specifications and customer quality standards. \nTransfer finished product from holding tanks to totes\nInspect materials, products, and containers at each step of manufacturing process.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area (5S/housekeeping standards) \nReport on equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to supervisors \nWork collaboratively with maintenance, quality, and production teams\nCleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties.\nRequirements\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.\nAdditional requirements for the position also include but are not limited to:\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred \nPrevious manufacturing or production experience preferred\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions \nPossess minimum math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)\nAbility to use measuring tools and production equipment \nForklift certification preferred or willing to learn to operate forklift safely.\nFollow all safety guidelines and processes\nSpeak, read and write English effectively\nLearn to use and operate scan guns to report and control inventories\nAble to lift 55 lbs. bags in a constant rhythm\nPhysically able to work 8 hrs. shift \nSkills and Competencies\nAttention to detail \nReliability and punctuality - Be Dependable and have reliable transportation\nTeamwork and communication \nProblem-solving ability \nSafety-focused mindset \nDrive to succeed and grow within the organization\nWork Environment\nManufacturing or industrial plant setting \nBeing able to work in a hot and dusty environment (safety PPE provided)\nExposure to outside elements during workday\nPotential exposure to chemicals or air pollutants\nMay require shift work, overtime, weekends, or holidays\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
