We combine a culture of openness, agility and short communication channels with the reputation of an established and well-connected research institution.\nThe IFSH is seeking a committed Event Manager to join its Communications Department, which is responsible for the institute’s strategic, science and media communications. This 70% part-time position entails 28 hours per week. It is graded at EG 11 under the TV-AVH collective agreement, is based in Hamburg and is to be filled as soon as possible. The position is initially limited to two years, with the possibility of an extension subject to the availability of funding.\nIn this role, you will organise events that bring researchers into conversation with specialist audiences, policymakers, civil society and the interested public. Events are an important communication tool and contribute to the IFSH’s knowledge transfer. Initially, the role combines hands-on event organisation with independent project management. Over time, it will increasingly involve developing event formats and engaging with stakeholders.
