The Design Lead is the creative anchor of the studio - setting quality standards, providing direction and formal line management to the Design team, and managing the translation of campaign concepts from external agencies into BAU assets.\nYour role in the Team’s Success:\n IG Consumer is looking for a Design Lead to shape our visual identity across all touchpoints - from our digital platform and campaigns to educational content and branded experiences. This is a senior creative role within the in-house studio, requiring both visionary creative thinking and strong execution. You will translate complex financial concepts into intuitive, compelling visual narratives, and provide art direction and guidance to the Brand Designers within the team. \nWhat you’ll do:\n Evolve IG's visual identity and design system across digital marketing, CRM, social, and performance channels - defining how the brand should look and flex across formats, products and audience segments, not just applying existing guidelines. \nShape concepts upstream in partnership with marketing and content stakeholders rather than only executing to a finished brief \nProvide art direction, feedback, and formal line management to the Brand Designers and, including career development, workload planning, and resourcing decisions across the team. \nRepresent the Creative Studio in design-led stakeholder conversations - presenting and defending creative concepts and rationale to senior marketing and business stakeholders, and pushing back where creative quality or brand integrity is at risk. \nDefine and maintain the studio's quality bar, briefing templates, and ways of working, raising the standard and efficiency of output across the team. \nPartner with the Head of Creative and Brand Marketing on the ongoing evolution of IG's brand identity, bringing an independent creative point of view to brand decisions. \nStay ahead of design trends and best practice in digital marketing and financial services creative, bringing new thinking into the studio proactively. \n\nWhat You'll Need:\n 7+ years' experience in graphic design with a focus on digital marketing, with demonstrable experience operating at a creative leadership level \nStrong portfolio demonstrating both creative excellence and the ability to define and evolve a brand or design system, not just execute within one. \nExpert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. \nExcellent typography skills and a sharp eye for detail across all design output. \nExperience designing for a multi-market audience, with an understanding of how creative needs to flex across different regions. \nProven experience managing and developing a small creative team, including workload planning and resourcing across multiple concurrent projects. \nTrack record of setting creative direction and defending creative decisions with senior stakeholders, not just presenting finished concepts for sign-off. \nExperience managing external creative agency relatio\nThe perks\nIt really is more than a job.
