The analyst will help develop, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance frameworks, ensuring Navy mission data is accurate, trusted, consistent, and appropriately governed across systems.\nThis role is critical in supporting compliance, improving data quality, documenting business rules, enhancing metadata management, and enabling Navy stakeholders to utilize data with confidence. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, enjoys structured problem-solving, and excels at partnering with both business and technical teams.\nKey Responsibilities:\nData Governance & Policy Support\nAssist with development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance policies, standards, workflows, and procedures.\nSupport enforcement of governance rules in collaboration with data owners and data stewards.\nDocument and maintain business rules, definitions, lineage, and metadata.\nContribute to building and maturing enterprise data governance frameworks.\nData Quality Management\nAnalyze data quality issues, inconsistencies, and gaps across Navy data environments.\nMonitor data quality KPIs; identify areas for improvement and recommend remediation.\nDevelop reports and dashboards to display governance and quality metrics.\nSupport continuous improvement and standardization efforts aligned with Navy data quality goals.\nStakeholder Collaboration\nWork closely with business units, IT teams, and mission partners to ensure adherence to governance standards.\nAssist in cataloging data assets and supporting metadata management activities.\nPrepare materials and support facilitation of Data Governance Council meetings.\nTraining & Communication\nAssist with delivery of data governance training sessions, communications, and best-practice guidance.\nPromote adoption of governance frameworks, terminology, and processes across stakeholder groups.\nProject Support & Reporting\nSupport management of data governance initiatives and related project tasks.\nDevelop reports, summaries, and documentation for leadership and program reviews.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nMinimum 3+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata, or related disciplines.\nSolid understanding of data governance principles, policy development, stewardship models, and quality management.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to break down complex data issues.\nEffective communication skills for interfacing with data owners, stewards, analysts, and technical teams.\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, Navy mission environment.\nEducation & Certifications: \nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.\nAdditional certifications in data governance, data quality, or analytics platforms are beneficial but not required.\nSecurity Clearance: \nActive DoW SECRET clearance required.\nSalary: $120k+ to align with education and experience.\nApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. \nIgnite Digital is a Small Business committed to providing exceptional service to government agencies at competitive prices.
