If you love working in a dynamic and challenging environment that allows you to continuously develop your problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills, Ignite is the place for you!\nResponsibilities:\nRisk Assessment\nConduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential risks related to financial reporting and financial systems\nCollaborate with management to prioritize risks, develop action plans, and ensure controls are in place to mitigate identified risks.\nInternal Control Testing & Reporting \nPerform test of design and test of effectiveness on financial reporting and financial system (SOC-1 and SOC-2) internal controls in alignment with OMB Circular A-123\nIdentify deficiencies or weaknesses in internal control systems, ensuring that they are promptly addressed and remediated\nEnsure proper documentation of testing procedures, results, and identified control gaps\nLead process walkthrough discussions with stakeholders and document the processes as needed\nPrepare audit reports that clearly communicate findings, including identified control weaknesses, risk exposures, and recommendations for improvement\nPresent audit results and key findings to management and relevant stakeholders, focusing on risks that may impact financial reporting or compliance\nFollow up on audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions and monitor progress on risk mitigation efforts.\nRequired Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field\n5+ years of experience in internal audit\nExperience with conducting internal control testing, risk assessments, and evaluating control frameworks\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\nActive Secret Security Clearance\nPreferred Skills:\nCertified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional designation \nWork Location: National Capital Region \nOn client site with potential for hybrid telework \nInternal Salary Guidance: 100k+ to align with experience and education\nApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. \nIgnite Digital is a Small Business committed to providing exceptional service to government agencies at competitive prices.
