Grow with us, as we build the path to becoming the number one supplier in the casino industry.\nOverview\nThe Director Global Payroll leads payroll operations for IGT, supporting approximately 6,000 employees in more than 30 countries. The role sets the global payroll operating approach, drives reliable and compliant service delivery, and leads improvements to processes, systems, controls, and the employee experience.\nThe role leads a geographically distributed payroll team of approximately 13 professionals and oversees payroll delivery through company teams and external providers. It partners with People & Culture, Finance, Legal, Tax, IT, Internal Audit, and business leaders on payroll operations, risk, vendor performance, and technology initiatives.\nThe successful candidate has substantial experience leading payroll in a multinational organization, developing distributed teams, managing vendor relationships, and delivering complex payroll system changes. Experience with ADP GlobalView, ADP Celergo, and enterprise payroll transitions is strongly valued.\nKey Responsibilities\nGlobal Payroll Strategy & Operational Leadership\nSet direction for global payroll operations across the countries and regions in scope, including the US, Canada, EMEA, APAC, and Latin America.\nDevelop and execute a payroll strategy that improves accuracy, compliance, service, scalability, and appropriate use of automation.\nLead and develop a global payroll team of approximately 13 professionals across regions and time zones.\nEstablish consistent governance, service standards, policies, and controls while accounting for local legal and operational requirements.\nOversee accurate and timely payroll delivery using ADP GlobalView, ADP Celergo, ADP Workforce Manager, and related payroll, time, HRIS, and finance systems.\nOversee payroll activities including gross-to-net processing, statutory deductions, garnishments, tax services, expatriate considerations, and multi-entity administration, with local expertise where required.\nSet priorities and allocate resources across regional payroll cycles, employee needs, and business requirements.\nExecutive Leadership, Governance & Risk\nManagement\nAdvise senior leaders on payroll performance, risk, compliance, controls, and improvement priorities.\nOversee compliance with applicable payroll requirements across the jurisdictions in scope, partnering with local providers and subject-matter experts. This includes:\nUS federal, state, and local requirements\nCanada country requirements\nUK and other EMEA country requirements\nAPAC country requirements\nLatin American country requirements\nMaintain effective payroll controls, including controls supporting SOX compliance, audit readiness, and accurate financial reporting.\nPartner with Internal Audit, Legal, Tax, and Finance to identify, assess, and address payroll, financial, regulatory, and data risks.\nProtect payroll data and support compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy and security requirements.\nMonitor regulatory and operational issues, coordinate escalations, and ensure timely follow-through with the appropriate internal teams and providers.\nPayroll Transformation & Technology Leadership\nLead payroll improvement and transformation work, including process standardization, automation, system changes, and service model improvements.\nLead or oversee payroll system implementations and migrations from planning through stabilization, including:\nImplementation planning and governance\nVendor selection and oversight\nData preparation and migration\nParallel testing and issue resolution\nCutover, stabilization, and transition to ongoing support\nProvide payroll leadership for technology initiatives involving ADP GlobalView, ADP Celergo, ADP Workforce Manager, HRIS, and Finance integrations.\nPartner with HRIS, IT, Finance, and external consultants to improve integrations, data quality, and governance across payroll systems.\nUse service, accuracy, compliance, and employee feedback measures to identify and deliver continuous improvements.\nVendor & Stakeholder Management\nOversee payroll service providers across the regions in scope, including service levels, performance reviews, issue resolution, and escalations.\nBuild effective working relationships with ADP and in-country providers to resolve service issues and improve delivery.\nWork with senior leaders across People & Culture, Finance, Tax, Legal, IT, and Operations on organizational changes, M&A activity, and other business initiatives affecting payroll.\nRepresent payroll in discussions with regulators, government agencies, external auditors, and senior leaders, as appropriate.\nProvide clear reporting and analysis on payroll service, risk, controls, costs, and improvement priorities.\nLeadership & Talent Development\nLead, coach, and develop the global payroll team.\nSet team goals and support succession planning, performance management, and capability development across regions.\nPromote accountability, collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and responsive service.\nRecruit, onboard, manage, and develop direct reports; make personnel recommendations consistent with company policies and delegated authority.\nSet clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback across time zones and cultures.\nBuild effective partnerships among payroll teams and cross-functional stakeholders.\nEstablish and monitor service expectations for employees and leaders globally.\nModel IGT’s values of integrity, inclusion, and responsibility.\nExperience & Skills\nSignificant experience leading payroll operations across multiple countries and regions, including the US and international markets.\nStrong experience with ADP GlobalView and ADP Celergo, or comparable enterprise payroll platforms; experience with ADP Workforce Manager is an advantage.\nExperience leading payroll transformation, system implementation, or migration programs in a multinational environment.\nAbility to influence senior stakeholders and lead distributed teams in a matrixed organization.\nStrong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax requirements, internal controls, and audit practices, with the ability to work effectively with local experts.\nExperience overseeing payroll vendors and outsourced service delivery.\nStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.\nBusiness judgment to connect payroll priorities with broader company needs.\nExperience leading change, process improvement, or service standardization.\nAbility to manage concurrent priorities while maintaining reliable payroll operations and appropriate controls.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.\n12+ years of progressive payroll experience, including substantial leadership responsibility in a multinational organization.\nExperience with ADP GlobalView and ADP Celergo in a complex payroll environment strongly preferred.\nExperience leading an end-to-end payroll system implementation or migration required;
