This role is responsible for accounting related to payroll, incentive compensation, equity awards, employee benefits, legal contingencies, severance, and other employee-related liabilities while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.\nThe Senior Compensation Accounting Analyst partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, FP&A, Tax, and Corporate Accounting to ensure the accurate recording, analysis, and reporting of compensation- and employee-related transactions, accruals, and liabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and record journal entries related to payroll, incentive compensation, equity awards, employee benefits, severance, legal contingencies, and other employee-related accounting activities.\nPerform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for compensation-related balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.\nSupport the accounting for annual and quarterly incentive compensation plans, including accruals, payments, true-ups, and variance analyses.\nPrepare and analyze accounting for employee benefit programs, including incurred but not reported (IBNR) medical and workers' compensation liabilities, benefit accruals, and related reserve analyses.\nSupport the accounting for legal contingencies by preparing accruals, maintaining supporting documentation, and partnering with the Legal department to ensure liabilities are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP.\nAssist with accounting for stock-based compensation and other long-term incentive programs in accordance with ASC 718.\nAnalyze compensation- and benefits-related financial data and prepare supporting schedules for internal and external financial reporting.\nCollaborate with Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Legal, Tax, FP&A, and other business partners to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of employee compensation and benefit programs.\nSupport the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by preparing reconciliations, analyses, journal entries, and supporting documentation.\nAssist with budgeting and forecasting activities related to employee compensation, benefits, and related liabilities.\nPrepare audit schedules and respond to requests from internal and external auditors.\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.\nMaintain documentation of accounting procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.\nCPA or CPA candidate preferred.\n4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in compensation accounting, payroll accounting, benefits accounting, financial reporting, or corporate accounting.\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including accrual accounting, compensation accounting, employee benefit accounting, and contingent liability accounting. Experience with ASC 718 (Stock Compensation) is a plus.\nExperience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and accounting estimates.\nExperience accounting for employee benefit plans, accrued liabilities, reserves, or legal contingencies is preferred.\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple functions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCPA designation.\nExperience in a publicly traded or multinational organization.\nExperience with equity compensation, incentive compensation, employee benefits, payroll accounting, or legal contingency accounting.\nFamiliarity with financial reporting systems and reconciliation tools.\nExperience supporting process improvements and automation initiatives.\nIGT is committed to sustaining a workforce that reflects the diversity of the global customers and communities we serve and to fostering an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and engaged.
