You will be responsible for taking products from business requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production. The role involves overseeing IIDE's product ecosystem, including the Learning Management System (LMS), Student and Admin Portals, public websites, backend services, APIs, internal applications, and third-party integrations. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role requiring strong technical depth, product thinking, delivery ownership, and people leadership. You will work closely with Product, Design, Technology, Marketing, CRM, Operations, and Business teams to build scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable technology products. What You'll Do:\nProduct Engineering Leadership:\nOwn engineering execution across IIDE's product development portfolio.\nLead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to frontend and backend engineers.\nEstablish engineering standards, coding practices, and development processes.\nReview technical designs, architecture, and implementation approaches.\nEnsure engineering decisions balance scalability, maintainability, security, performance, and delivery timelines.\nBuild a culture of ownership, accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.\nAct as the technical escalation point for complex engineering challenges.\nProduct & Project Delivery:\nOwn end-to-end technical delivery across multiple concurrent product initiatives.\nConvert business and product key engineering role in the ongoing LMS rebuild using a modern technology stack.\nEnsure platform architecture can scale with IIDE's growing student and business requirements.\nArchitecture & System Design:\nDesign and review scalable application architectures across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.\nReview database schemas, data models, queries, API contracts, and integration patterns.\nEvaluate technical approaches and recommend appropriate solutions.\nIdentify architectural risks, technical dependencies, and scalability challenges early.\nDrive improvements in reliability, maintainability, application performance, and security.\nEstablish appropriate authentication and authorization patterns.\nIdentify and reduce technical debt.\nEnsure important architectural decisions are properly documented.\nEngineering Quality & Production Reliability:\nEstablish and enforce code review standards.\nEnsure appropriate unit, integration, API, regression, and release testing practices.\nReview release readiness before production deployments.\nImprove application reliability and production stability.\nOwn engineering-side incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).\nDrive preventive actions following production incidents.\nImprove observability, logging, and monitoring practices.\nMaintain documentation for critical systems and engineering processes.\nTechnology Ownership:\nLead engineering teams working across Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, Git, and GitHub.\nGuide teams on software architecture, system design, database design, API design, authentication and authorization, integrations, microservices, caching, CI/CD, containers, cloud infrastructure, performance, and web security.\nEvaluate technologies based on their engineering and business value rather than adopting tools without a clear use case.\nProvide technical guidance across the stack without needing to personally be an expert in every technology.\nWebsite & Technical Performance:\nEnsure IIDE's Next.js websites follow modern engineering and performance practices.\nWork with Marketing and SEO teams to implement technical SEO requirements.\nMonitor and improve Core Web Vitals and frontend performance.\nEnsure applications are optimized for scalability, performance, and user experience.\nEnsure technical implementation supports crawlability, indexing, and other SEO requirements.\nEngineering Team Management:\nConduct sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and engineering reviews.\nMentor developers through technical guidance and regular feedback.\nConduct code and architecture reviews.\nIdentify skill gaps and create development plans for team members.\nSupport technical hiring, interviews, and onboarding.\nDefine clear ownership and responsibilities across the engineering team.\nImprove team productivity without compromising engineering quality.\nBuild a strong culture of ownership, accountability, and problem-solving.\nCross-functional Collaboration:\nWork closely with Product, Design, Marketing, CRM, Operations, and Business reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the broad scope of the position.\nRequirements Who You Are:\nMust-Have:\n5-7 years of software engineering experience.\nAt least 1-2 years of experience leading engineers, projects, or technical initiatives.\nStrong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.\nStrong understanding of Angular and modern frontend development.\nExperience working with REST APIs and PostgreSQL.\nStrong understanding of software architecture, system design, and database design.\nExperience delivering production applications used by real users.\nExperience managing multiple concurrent engineering initiatives.\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle and release management.\nExperience with code reviews, debugging, production issue resolution, and incident management.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.\nStrong ownership and problem-solving mindset.\nAbility to balance product requirements, engineering quality, and delivery timelines.\nAbility to mentor developers and improve overall team capability.\nShould Have:\nStrong understanding of API design, authentication and authorization,
