The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Linux internals, strong C/C++ programming skills, and hands-on experience in analyzing vulnerabilities, developing system-level security tools, and contributing to the hardening of Linux-based infrastructure.\n\nThis is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-looking security team focused on proactive threat mitigation, vulnerability research, and system integrity enhancement.\n\nResponsibilities : \n\nSystem Security Research & Development : \n\n- Analyze historical and emerging Linux vulnerabilities (CVE research and impact assessment).\n\n- Design and implement kernel-level monitoring and protection tools.\n\n- Develop secure and efficient Linux Kernel Modules (LKMs) for detection and defense purposes.\n\n- Research modern techniques for system integrity, syscall behavior analysis, and runtime protection.\n\nSecurity Engineering & Tooling : \n\n- Build low-level system utilities using C/C++ for security visibility and resilience.\n\n- Enhance Linux infrastructure with custom security modules, syscall instrumentation, and auditing tools.\n\n- Collaborate with infrastructure and DevSecOps teams to ensure secure system-level deployments.\n\nRisk Analysis & Hardening : \n\n- Evaluate system behavior under potential attack scenarios in a controlled and defensive context.\n\n- Recommend mitigations for vulnerabilities in kernel space and userland boundaries.\n\n- Support the implementation of hardening configurations and kernel security features such as SELinux, AppArmor, and seccomp.\n\nDocumentation & Reporting : \n\n- Document technical findings, tools, and system modifications clearly and professionally.\n\n- Create detailed reports for internal teams and contribute to secure development guidelines.\n\nEligibility : \n\nEducation : \n\n- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.\n\n- Postgraduate degree or relevant research experience is an added advantage.\n\nTechnical Skills : \n\n- Strong understanding of Linux Kernel architecture, including : \n\n1. System call interface\n\n2. Process and memory management\n\n3. Filesystems and device drivers\n\n- Strong proficiency in C and C++ for both kernel-space and user-space development.\n\n- Experience with : \n\n1. Socket programming and Linux networking stack\n\n2. Kernel debugging tools such as gdb, ftrace, kprobes, and perf\n\n3.
