Rather than focusing on a single domain or business process, you will help create reusable data foundations that support analytics, digital products and future AI initiatives across the enterprise.\nYou will work across some of IKEA's most important technology platforms and contribute to capabilities that connect metadata, governance, quality and data products into a seamless experience for data consumers.\nThis role offers a unique opportunity to combine modern data engineering with platform thinking, helping create solutions that thousands of coworkers and products can benefit from every day.\nMost importantly, you'll help shape how trusted data is made accessible across IKEA for years to come.\nAs a Data Engineer in Data Enablement, you will help build trusted data foundations that power data discovery, governance, self-service and consumption across IKEA.\nYou will work at the intersection of data engineering, metadata management and platform enablement, helping create capabilities that improve how data is catalogued, governed, connected and consumed. Working closely with Software Engineers, Data Management specialists, architects and platform teams, you will contribute to the underlying data capabilities that make trusted data accessible at scale.\nAs part of this role, you will:\nDesign, develop and operate data pipelines and supporting capabilities such as metadata, lineage, data quality, observability and monitoring. \nBuild integrations between platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Collibra, SAP, M3 and other enterprise systems. \nDevelop and maintain trusted data assets, metadata solutions and reusable data products. \nCreate robust CI/CD processes, automation and Infrastructure as Code capabilities. \nContribute to data quality, governance and trust frameworks that enable confident data consumption. \nWork proactively with architecture, privacy and cyber security functions to ensure solutions are secure, compliant and scalable. \nCollaborate closely with Software Engineers and Data Management specialists to deliver integrated solutions. \nParticipate in team activities such as planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, peer reviews and continuous improvement. \nAlign and share knowledge with other teams across Data & Engineering. \nAct as an ambassador for good engineering practices, developer experience and a strong engineering culture. \n5+ years of experience working within Data Engineering. \nStrong proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL. \nDemonstrable experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performing data pipelines and data products. \nExperience with modern cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP. \nHands-on experience with Databricks and modern data platform technologies. \nExperience working with metadata, lineage, data quality, governance or observability capabilities. \nExperience building CI/CD pipelines, automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions. \nUnderstanding of modern architectural concepts such as Data Mesh, Data Products and Data Lakehouse architectures. \nStrong collaboration and communication skills. \nA passion for building trusted, reusable and well-governed data solutions that enable others. \n Application date will finish on 18th November.
