You will join Range Technology Foundation, where we create horizontal capabilities, reusable services, frameworks, automation and guidance that help teams build and operate secure, compliant and reliable digital products. Your primary focus will be turning recurring backend needs into well-designed platform capabilities and attractive golden paths that are easier, safer and faster to adopt than building from scratch.\nOn a typical day, you will:\n\nDesign, build and evolve reusable backend capabilities and services using .NET and C#.\n\nCreate reference implementations, libraries, templates and APIs that product teams can adopt with low friction.\n\nShape engineering standards for API design, security, observability, testing, resilience and lifecycle management.\n\nWork hands-on with product teams to understand use cases, simplify onboarding and improve developer experience.\n\nBridge product-team needs with shared infrastructure and enterprise platform services, resolving technical dependencies and integration challenges.\n\nContribute to CI/CD frameworks, automation and operational readiness, including monitoring, supportability and continuous improvement.\n\nDocument platform setups and patterns, share knowledge and help engineers build confidence in the capabilities we provide.\n\nUse measures such as adoption, availability, lead time for change, deployment frequency, time to restore service and change failure rate to guide improvements.\n\nWhat we’d like you to bring to the table\nThe role as a Platform Specialist requires you to:\nHave strong professional experience in backend engineering with C# and modern .NET.\n\nBe skilled in designing and building secure, reliable and maintainable APIs, services and system integrations.\n\nUnderstand cloud-native development, containers, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and production operations.\n\nTurn complex engineering challenges into reusable solutions, clear standards and practical guidance.\n\nCommunicate and collaborate effectively with engineers, platform colleagues, architects, product teams and stakeholders.\n\nBe motivated by enablement: helping other teams move faster while retaining appropriate autonomy and ownership.\n\nBring curiosity, sound judgement, attention to detail and a drive for continuous learning and improvement.\n\nIt’s a plus if you also:\nHave experience building internal developer platforms, shared libraries, engineering frameworks or self-service capabilities.\n\nHave worked with Azure services, Kubernetes, API management, identity and access, or infrastructure as code.\n\nHave experience coaching engineers, facilitating technical decisions or driving adoption across several teams.\n\nBe yourself, a Platform Specialist, and more!\nInter IKEA Group is the group of companies that connects IKEA franchisees with range development and suppliers and aligns the overall IKEA strategic direction.
