Through modern software engineering, product thinking, and platform capabilities, we are transforming how data producers and consumers connect, enabling better decisions, faster innovation, and greater business impact across IKEA.\n As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a newly established team building the foundations for how data is consumed at IKEA.\nYou will design and develop software products, integrations, APIs, and user experiences that help users navigate and interact with our enterprise data ecosystem. Your work will focus on reducing complexity and enabling self-service through intuitive solutions that connect data producers and consumers.\nIn this role, you will:\nDesign, build, and maintain software products and platform capabilities that improve how data is discovered and consumed. \nDevelop APIs, services, and integrations connecting Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Collibra, SAP, M3, and related systems. \nBuild software capabilities that support metadata management, lineage, governance, discovery, and trusted access to data. \nCreate reusable software components and automation that improve platform usability and scalability. \nCollaborate closely with product managers, designers, and users to create intuitive experiences that simplify how data is discovered, understood, and consumed. \nCollaborate with engineers, product teams, architects, and data specialists across IKEA. \nContribute to modern engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and observability. \nHelp establish engineering standards and contribute to a strong software engineering culture. \nContinuously improve developer experience and self-service capabilities across the data ecosystem. \nWe need a passionate Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and building high-quality products that create value for users and the business. Most importantly, you are passionate about building technology that enables others to succeed while contributing to an open, inclusive, and collaborative engineering culture.\n Solid experience in software engineering and modern development practices. \nStrong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar. \nExperience building applications, APIs, integrations, platform services, or developer-facing products. \nExperience working in cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS. \nUnderstanding of distributed systems and scalable software design. \nExperience working with engineering best practices, including testing, automation, code reviews, CI/CD, and observability. \nFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices. \nExperience or strong interest in building products around data discovery, metadata, governance, developer experience, or data consumption. \nStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and business teams. \nA curious mindset and a passion for building products that enable others. \n Application date will finish on 11th November.
