{"id":2446197,"url":"https://alion.io/job/ikeja-procurement-coordinator","title":"Procurement Coordinator","company":{"id":689308,"name":"Ikeja","domain":"ikeja.co.za","url":"https://alion.io/company/ikeja","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Workable","truth_index":null},"role":"Administrative","role_family":"Administrative","seniority":"middle","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Midrand, South Africa"],"countries":["ZA"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":13000,"max_usd":23000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":61},"experience_years_min":3,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Excel","optional":true}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-13T13:34:51Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-13","last_verified_at":"2026-10-14T20:51:29Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":1,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":1},"description":"We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to manage the end-to-end procurement process across our business.\nThis role is responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, coordinating purchases and deliveries and ensuring procurement activities are completed efficiently, cost-effectively and in line with company policies.\nYou'll work closely with internal departments, suppliers, Finance and Operations to ensure our teams have the resources they need while identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs and maintain high service levels.\nThe ideal candidate is organised, commercially minded, enjoys building strong supplier relationships and takes ownership of delivering results in a fast-paced operational environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the end-to-end procurement process, from purchase requests through to supplier delivery.\nObtain competitive quotations, compare pricing and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best value.\nPrepare purchase orders and ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and approval processes.\nBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying new suppliers where required.\nCoordinate supplier deliveries, courier collections and resolve procurement or delivery-related issues.\nMonitor outstanding orders and proactively follow up to ensure agreed delivery timeframes are met.\nWork closely with Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure goods are received and distributed efficiently.\nAssist with inventory planning by monitoring stock requirements and supporting demand forecasting.\nMaintain accurate procurement records, supplier information and purchasing documentation.\nPartner with the Finance team to resolve supplier queries, support invoice processing and ensure procurement records remain accurate.\nIdentify opportunities to improve procurement processes, increase efficiencies and reduce purchasing costs.\nRequirements\nQualifications & Experience\nGrade 12 / Matric (required).\nCertificate or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field is advantageous.\nMinimum 3 -
