The ideal candidate must have strong numerical skills, basic computer proficiency, experience handling cash and electronic payments, and the integrity to safeguard the restaurant’s revenue.\nKey Responsibilities\nReceive and process customer payments accurately using the restaurant’s POS system and other approved payment methods.\nHandle cash, bank transfers, card payments, and other authorised transactions.\nVerify bank transfers and electronic payment confirmations through approved channels before confirming payments.\nIssue receipts and confirm payment status for customer orders.\nEnsure all sales and payment transactions are properly recorded.\nBalance cash and reconcile sales at the end of each shift.\nPrepare end-of-shift sales summaries and submit accurate reports to management.\nAccount for cash received and hand over cash, receipts, and relevant records according to the restaurant’s procedures.\nReport cash shortages, excesses, payment discrepancies, failed transactions, or suspicious activities promptly.\nMaintain accurate records of daily sales, cash receipts, electronic payments, and other transactions.\nProvide polite, professional, and prompt customer service.\nRespond to basic customer enquiries concerning bills, payments, and orders.\nCoordinate with waiters and kitchen staff to confirm orders, bills, and payment details where necessary.\nMaintain a clean, organised, and secure cashier station.\nFollow established cash-handling procedures and financial control policies.\nProtect confidential financial information and prevent unauthorised access to cash, POS systems, and payment records.\nRequirements And Qualifications\nMinimum of HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.\nPrevious experience as a Cashier or in a payment-handling role, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or other hospitality establishment.\nBasic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, computer applications, and sales reporting.\nFamiliarity with POS systems, bank transfers, card payments, and other electronic payment methods.\nAbility to reconcile sales, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.\nAbility to verify electronic payments through approved channels before confirming transactions.\nStrong numerical and calculation skills.\nHigh level of honesty, integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.\nGood communication and customer service skills.\nAbility to remain calm, accurate, and professional during busy periods.\nGood organisational
