If you believe that you are made to make it, be a chance-taker and help us empower small businesses in South Africa.\n At iKhokha, we're passionate about helping entrepreneurs thrive.\nJoin us as a Store Manager based in Newcastle and take the reins of a high-energy branch, driving sales, developing your team and creating opportunities that make a real impact in your community.\nSo, what will you do?\nYou will be responsible for managing the iKhokha Store together with driving sales, activation ratio’s, implement and manage in-branch marketing activities, assist in staff route planning for outbound activities and create revenue-generating opportunities in line with iKhokha goals.\nYou will be responsible for branch P&L’s and managing a team of 5 branch staff.\nYou will represent and uphold the iKhokha brand and culture within the iKhokha branch as well as evangelise iKhokha within the local community.\nIn addition to the above, you will:\nBe accountable for the performance of the iKhokha store and be responsible for store P&L’s.\nDrive sales and deliver exceptional customer service.\nBe responsible for maintaining relationships linked to stores.\nInterview, recruit, and train new staff members.\nImplement performance management processes to ensure that new staff thrive and targets are met.\nHandling first level HR and IR skills as well as monitoring productivity of staff daily as per company requirement.\nResponsible for in-store stock management and conduct weekly stock takes and cycle counting.\nMaintain asset register of instore equipment and all branding materials.\nGain a basic understanding of POS systems for stock management.\nReport back to internal stakeholders weekly and monthly on store performance.\nShare ad hoc survey results with necessary internal stakeholders.\nProvide feedback on general in-store activity.\nReport in required market insights within the designated area.\n National Senior Certificate (Matric) is required.\nUndergraduate Degree is advantageous.\nDeal Breakers:\nMinimum 3+ years' of experience in a Store manager or similar role with the following:\nStrong interpersonal and people management skills with proven ability to coach and energise direct reports in the branch environment.\nInformal market retail and retail operations experience with a strong focus on growth joined with an understanding of informal markets and in-branch retail dynamics.\nStrong commercial skills and business acumen, with the ability to execute against sales, marketing and customer service targets.\nProficient in MS Office with strong communication skills with the ability to speak both English and Afrikaans, Xhosa is Optional.\nProven ability to manage sales performance against assigned targets.\nValid driver’s license and own transport along with a clear criminal and credit record.\nIn addition to the above, the experience in the following technologies, domains and best practices will make you a frontrunner for the role:\nExperience within Informal-market banking branch, cellular retail, FMCG or Alcohol industries is advantageous.\nBasic understanding of key stakeholders within the designated Store Location.\n Perks of joining the Tribe?\nWork in a high-growth company with tangible results you're accountable for.\nEnjoy hybrid, remote, and in-office work models.\nCompetitive remuneration and benefits, including reduced Gap cover rates.
