Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Supervisor’s role is to provide leadership and technical assistance to the industrial electrical technicians, electronics technicians and external contractors to work in a safe and productive manner while minimizing unscheduled production downtime and maintenance costs.\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary from $$99,750 - $116,550.\nHealth Insurance (includes Virtual Health, and HCSA), Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance\nLife Insurance, Long-term Disability, Short-term Disability\nRRSP Match\nPaid Vacation\nFloating Days\nEmployee Assistance Program\nEmployee Engagement Events\nAwards and Recognition\nTuition reimbursement\nService Awards\nEmployee Perks & Discounts\nJob Responsibilities\nProvide first-line supervision, technical assistance and training to a staff of journey-level industrial electrical and electronics technicians\nParticipate in hiring and training of personnel engaged in the installation, testing, calibration, maintenance and repair of electrical, instrumentation, electronic control and related equipment and machinery, such as programmable logic controllers, electrical distribution systems, motors, transformers, actuators, switches, lighting, and communication systems\nLead the team in troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation problems, and devise solutions for these problems\nDevelop and maintain Preventive Maintenance Program for electrical and instrumentation equipment\nDevelop, review and update maintenance instructions and procedures\nDevelop and maintain spare parts inventory\nWork closely with Operations and Mechanical Maintenance personnel\nPlan, schedule and supervise maintenance and capital work\nResponsible for processing maintenance work orders, purchase requisitions, weekly schedules, PMs, and updating the equipment database\nPlan and oversee testing and calibration of electrical and electronic equipment, devices and tools on a scheduled basis\nCoordinate plant inspections\nReview or prepare drawings and specifications for contract work and inspect work performed to determine compliance to standards\nParticipate in the development of the capital and maintenance budgets\nEnsure compliance to internal and corporate policies, procedures and regulations with respect to Health & Safety\nEnforce proper safety procedures, educate employees on rules, regulations, codes, safe work habits and potential hazards presented in their work environment\nRespond to emergency situations as necessary\nPerform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Manager\nQualifications\nLicensed Industrial Electrician with Red Seal Certification is a strong asset\nElectrical Engineering Degree or Diploma is a plus\nMust have knowledge of Allen Bradley Drives, Relay Logic, PLC logic controls and Programming\nMinimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a continuous manufacturing environment\nExcellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work collaboratively\nProficient in MS Office\nGood communication skills (verbal and written)\nMust be available on-call and work occasionally on weekends\nNote: This is a safety sensitive position\nBenefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
