People like you!\nJob Description\nReporting to our Senior Manager, Global Network and Communications, we are currently looking for a Global Network Engineer to lead the design, testing, and initial deployment of network, security, voice, and cloud networking infrastructure at all global IKO locations. The role focuses on Level 3 support, developing proofs of concept (POCs), implementing new technologies, and creating comprehensive documentation to support the Network Operations team. The incumbent will apply advanced technical expertise, problem-solving, and communication skills to align solutions with IKO’s business requirements and global IT standards. This opportunity is a full-time permanent opportunity based fully onsite at our Mississauga, ON office location.\nCompensation: $96k-$129k\nBenefits\nHealth Insurance (includes Virtual Health, and HCSA)\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nLife Insurance\nLong-term Disability\nShort-term Disability\nRRSP Match\nPaid Vacation\nFloating Days\nEmployee Assistance Program\nEmployee Engagement Events\nAwards and Recognition\nTuition reimbursement\nService Awards\nEmployee Perks & Discounts\nJob Responsibilities\nDesigning and implementing network, security, voice, and cloud networking infrastructure (e.g., Azure Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN gateways) to meet business requirements and align with defined Global IT standards.\nDiagnosing and troubleshooting network, security, voice, and Aruba Wireless and Aruba Central issues using standard tools and processes.\nCommunicating with vendors for service changes, hardware/software orders, and coordinating related activities.\nMaintaining published documentation for technical procedures, policies, and standard processes related to network, cloud networking, and Aruba Wireless and Aruba Central infrastructure.\nImplementing and monitoring security solutions, standards, and policies in accordance with IKO’s Information Security Framework.\nAssisting in investigations of possible security breaches as part of the incident management team.\nSupporting network/security/voice/cloud networking/Aruba Wireless and Aruba Central group representation in audits.\nSupporting the development of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for network and cloud networking infrastructure.\nTravel estimated at 10%, within North America and Europe (incumbent should be ready to travel).\nPerforming additional duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Global Network and Communications.\nQualifications\n7-10 years’ experience designing and managing large enterprise networks, datacenter systems, and systems architecture.\n3-5 years’ experience with Azure Cloud in a hybrid setup, including designing cloud networking solutions.\nExpert in switching and routing, particularly BGP/OSPF, with hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.\nAbility to assess datacenter and cloud networking trends to develop and implement hardware and software standards.\nCollaborative team player who can lead technical discussions in departmental meetings and influence outcomes.\nUpholds ‘best practice’ standards and drives innovation in network and cloud networking solutions.\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.\nKnowledge of French or the ability to develop French is a plus.\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field\nValid G driving license\nAdditional Key Skills:\nPalo Alto Firewalls\nOffice 365/Azure AD/Azure\nDesigning cloud networking (e.g., Azure Virtual Networks, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute)\nHP Networking (Aruba) switches and access points\nKnowledge of routing protocols (BGP/RIP/OSPF/etc.)\nSD-WAN Technology\nA10/F5 Load Balancers\nProofPoint Mail Filter\nAruba Wireless and Aruba Central\nCitrix Netscaler, Citrix XenMobile MDM\nNetwork Tools (NMap/Wireshark/SSH/SCP/Telnet/FTP/etc.)\nUnderstanding of key Microsoft network protocols (SMB/CIFS/MAPI/ActiveSync/SQL)\nVMware fundamentals\nBusiness Continuity Planning (BCP)\nBenefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
