Job Description Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to safely operate a sit down forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification
- Must be comfortable working outside in the elements
- Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials
- Ability to think on your feet in identifying from the pick list where the material is located either in the yard or warehouse
- Identifying what needs to be double stacked in the yard versus single stacked
- Identify where to double stack the material
- Utilize the chart of the North and South yard as a map/guide
- Identify where product is located in the yard by utilizing the identifying signs
- Guide the truck drivers where they need to go in order to be safely loaded/unloaded Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be legally authorization to work in U.S.
- Must be able to pass a forklift certification class and test. Must have a minimum of 1 year sit down forklift experience.
- Must be able to read a pick list
- Must be able to work overtime as necessary, which could include weekends
- Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical
- Must be able to lift up to 76 lbs. unassisted
- Must be willing to operate Track Mobile (Locomotive) and be willing to operate in a rail environment.
