People like you!\nJob Description\nSummary of primary job functions\nThe Machine Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation, and shutdown of the ISO production line. Operators are also responsible for the operation of the automated pallet production equipment.\nDuties and responsibilities\nEnsure raw materials are fed properly, operating machinery, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, ensuring the quality of the finished product, and see the product is properly prepared for shipment.\n\nComplete health and safety pre-start checklists.\n\nEnsure product being produced meets established quality specifications.\n\nDocument quality checks at regular intervals.\n\nSafety orientated with the ability to operate manufacturing equipment following all safe work procedures as outlined on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).\n\nDocument production numbers, items contributing to down time.\n\nOperate a forklift in a safe and orderly matter.\n\nMaintaining 5S program in their work area - general housekeeping and cleaning as needed.\n\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nComfortable working in a manufacturing team environment.\n\nQualifications\nPrevious Manufacturing industry experience is an asset\n\nForklift Operator License is a requirement\n\nMechanical aptitude with willingness to learn and be trained on new mechanical processes\n\nProven Ability to take initiative and direction\n\nExcellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills\n\nBasic understanding and use of computer systems\n\nAbility to work in a fast paced, hot environment\n\nMust be able to lift up to 50lbs\n\nReliable, good work ethic, and positive attitude\n\nSeeking long term employment opportunity\n\nHours of Work\nRotating two (2) week pattern:\nWeek 1 & 2 - Monday to Thursday, 7:00AM -5:00PM\n\nWeeks 3 &4 - Tuesday to Friday, 7:00AM-5:00PM\n\nShift pattern repeats\n\n40 Hour Work Week, excellent shift schedule with regular long weekends\n\nBenefits/RRSP Plan\nFull Benefits package and company matching RRSP plan available after the employee successfully completes the probationary period.\n\nIG Machine & Fibers, is located in High River, Alberta, a short 30 minute commute outside of Calgary city limits and is an automated manufacturer of state of the art commercial PolyIso Insulation Board.
