This role serves as the senior technical authority for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and uninterrupted operations in a 24/7 hospitality and gaming environment.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nPromotes superior guest service\n\nMaintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani\n\nProvide direct oversight, training, coaching, and guidance to facilities team members\n\nProvide full technical oversight of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety, generators, and building automation systems\n\nEnsure continuous up time of gaming, hotel, and entertainment operations and all critical systems\n\nLead response during system failures and emergencies\n\nIdentify and mitigate risks before operational impact\n\nDevelop redundancy strategies and contingency plans\n\nCentral Plant & Critical Systems Ownership\n\nThorough understanding of Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, Pumps (HHW, CHW, Condenser), Domestic Hot Water Systems, and Water Softening Systems and Integration points with WWTP\n\nEnsure all systems operate within defined parameters, ranges, and efficiencies\n\nPersonally troubleshoot and resolve complex system failures\n\nMaintain inspection readiness at all times\n\nManage facilities services, vendor contracts, and preventative maintenance programs\n\nAssist the Director of Facilities with developing and managing operating budgets and forecasts\n\nOversee vendor performance, bids, and contract compliance\n\nCoordinate equipment replacement and minor capital projects\n\nLead engineering and maintenance staff including scheduling\n\nProvide coaching, training, and performance management\n\nPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism\n\nCompliance & Emergency Response\n\nEnsure compliance with fire, life-safety, OSHA, environmental, and gaming regulations\n\nServe as primary engineering authority during inspections and audits\n\nLead emergency response, incident command, and root-cause analysis\n\nProvide 24/7 on-call availability\n\nMaintain confidentiality of sensitive information\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in a related field plus seven to ten (7-10) years of facilities experience with three to five (3-5) years in a progressive mechanical engineering leadership or facilities leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nMust possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.\n\nStrong hands-on MEP system knowledge and experience\n\nProven vendor, budget, and preventative maintenance management experience\n\nGeneral knowledge of applicable buildings and fire codes\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skills\n\nBasic computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook\n\nAbility to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, reach overhead, stand, and walk for extended periods, and other physical requirements related to facilities maintenance work\n\nMust be willing to work in a smoking environment\n\nMust be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in high- volume casino, hospitality, or other 24/7 environments preferred\n\nAdvanced HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems knowledge preferred\n\nExperience with BAS systems and troubleshooting preferred\n\nStrong understanding of codes and regulatory standards preferred\n\nRelevant certifications preferred\n\nStationary Engineer License preferred\n\nHVAC Certification preferred\n\nElectrical License (01/06/07) preferred\n\nExperience with CMMS platforms (Hot SOS preferred)\n\nWork Shift:\nWages:\nThis role offers a starting wage of $96,338.00 annually.
